  1. below the carpets, rust cancer starts there, also if the steering components havent been replaced, expect the steering wheel to be a lil loose, and drive back slowly in case there is death wobble
  2. price tag is a little high but looks clean, if it has little rust i would buy it
  3. not dumb but ignores the engine revving up even with the throttle closed
  4. Which the oxygen sensor provides when it senses a lean mixture. yes, and the ECU is aware of this, in case of a vacuum leak, the ECU doesnt know, or is too dumb to let more fuel in even if the IAC is closed more air? ok there goes more fuel.... wait a minute, i didnt let that air in...
  5. by letting more air in AND injecting the corresponding amount of fuel...
  6. wait a sec. a vacuum leak with the throttle closed and low rpms makes the ECU inject more fuel? because just letting extra air in would lean the mixture not make the engine rev up
  7. a ford 8.8 for a Dana 44? naa not worth it
  8. you can clean that IAC just in case dirt is casuing the trouble
  9. disconnect the IAC... it may be opening but no closing...
  10. it may if you force but it will end up in a mess, you better off get a comanche axle or modify the cherokee one, if you have a d35 is the perfect chance to upgrade...
  11. or you can hunt for an old bellhousing from a 258 that has the ford pattern on the other side... that will widen the options
  12. maybe, the box sits perfectly except for the round part... i´ll take a pic from above to confirm if i already have the upgraded box
  13. oh that spacer is there, the round part of the steering box what touches the frame rail...
  14. no, nothing between the steering box and the fram rail, how is supposed to look like?
  15. question i don't have a good MJ/XJ to check - is that bolt supposed to rest flat on the rail? - is that normal or is the steering box pushing against the rail?
  16. Sheet metal is harder than i thought, even with a hammer it won't budge, does heating it make sheet metal softer?
  17. just tried rotating the alternator up... it doesnt fit...
  18. so, is it? i prefer this parking brake instead of the lever operated, saves space
  19. found the problem, those spot welds really make it difficult
  20. wihtout the engine pushing, the joint is free to rotate
  21. have anyone played with the exhaust? long pipes, short pipes, more diameter, less diameter, after all it affects scavenging and power band
  22. wait, if we remove the timing cover it may run all the way up... mmm
  23. a crossflow head, with 2 spark plugs... twice the pleasure such head would need to be OHC which will need mjor modifications to the engine... or to run a large chain in front of the engine
