Update. The next morn I started fooling with it. Instruction manual, What there is of one, After a hour I threw it in the trash can with a few savory remarks. The GF found it there and retrieved it and started fooling with it. She said there's something wrong with this. She took it back to Best Buy. There was something wrong with it. They gave her a new one. After getting it back I went thru all the apps I could find on it. Played with it for a couple hours. That was 4 days ago. It's been sitting on my desk ever since. One of these days..... :???:

I have used a big square shank flat blade screw driver and a crescent wrench. Stick the screw driver in the hole on the tube, I'm assuming it is there, and turn it with the crescent. Jack handles aren't that rare. Should be able to find one in any JY.

Might be trying to prevent or reduce axle wrap. Which with a D35 would be the least of my worries. Or maybe they just had some steel left over from another project and didn't want to see it go to waste.

Comanche Rear Sway Bar, Short Box
jimoshel replied to Jeep Driver's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
MJ Junkie Members 1,080 posts LocationParrottsville TN On Friday I went to PnP to get a 28mm front bar off a ZJ, the only one they had was on a 2004......won't work. Knowing they were not going to give me my money back, I went looking for the rear bar, 2001 Blazer. I decided to weld on my brackets but they can be bolted on. quote Never heard of a P&P, or any JY where you paid for a part before getting it. Here I go out and find then pull what I want, Take it in and lay it on the counter, or floor, the guy looks at it and gives me a price. But that aside, good job. Looks good. -
I like them so much I bought one. Just got in with it an hour ago. Wind hasn't blown the tracks away yet.

A talk with your local scrap dealer would probably do you more good than asking here. Prices vary depending on the market and the condition of the scrap. Some dealers have a direct line to the stock market and with in minutes of any price change there their price will show it. Also some dealers have shredders and will accept complete aluminum engines with the steel crank and cam still in it. Others, if they see as much as a steel rivet they will not take it. Might try advertising on Craigs list or a boating mag. Might find somebody will pay more than a scrap dealer.

BINGO! Give that man a cigar. But not one of mine. It was the SAGE system the Air Force had back in the early sixties. The system was housed in a four story building occupying half a city block. Power supply was in the basement. First floor was administration, maintenance. Second floor was processor and third and fourth floors were storage, memory. The air conditioner could cool a large apartment building.

I can't believe I once made my living as a puter geek. Haven't been keeping up with the technology and got left behind. Got tired of listening to the GF complain about her old, slow and not working puter. Took her in to Best Buy today and got her a new one. While there I got me a Samsung Tablet I think that's what they're called. A Galaxy tab3. And a couple gig memory card. For the last two hours I've been 1. looking at it, wondering what the heck I got it for. 2. Wondering what the heck I'm going to do with it, or use it for. 3. Trying to figure out how to turn it on. I think the battery needs charged so I'm going to leave it overnight and try again in the morn. :???: :dunno:

I try to avoid the general public as much as possible. And as for the police, How they can put up with the crap they do and still maintain any sense of value or morals is beyond me. I did once get pulled over by a Colorado State Trooper, Some minor detail about me going 85 in a 75 MPH zone. Asked me for drivers license, registration and insurance, which I produced. Then he asked me if I knew why he pulled me over. I looked him straight in the face and replied, "You were lonely and wanted somebody to talk to"? He was very nice fella. We spent 20 minutes under the hood discussing the GTO trip carb set up as compared to what a pair of Hollys could do. NO ticket. Just a request to hold it down.

Mounting Gas Tank In The Bed
jimoshel replied to Incommando's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Suggestions on cutting holes in a propane tank, bottle with out it blowing up? I've welded many gas tanks by running a pipe from a truck exhaust and filling the tank with carbon monoxide. Might work with a propane bottle. -

Buy a complete donor and park it beside the MJ. Save many trips running back and forth tween the house and JY. The rear drive shaft will need modified. Everything else will be a unbolt, move, bolt back up.
