I'm sure someone else will chime in.. But I can't imagine that the plungers would be on the receiver drier and them not be necessary for its operation.

The orange wire that is under the battery cables is what is I was referring to. It is in the same loom as the low pressure switch (green wires) coming off of the receiver drier.
For the 12v positive on the compressor..it will connect to a single lead orange wire that is on the passenger side of the engine bay. The negative cable grounds to the back of compressor.
Ill post a picture of the wire tonight.
There isn't any of the hose in the dash. It's all in the engine bay.
Following the hose from the reservoir and see if you can find the issue.

If its an internal slave and you're just replacing the slave, a shop will probably charge $800 or so, after parts and labor. The actual part, itself, is like $60 or something.
