  1. Global warming. It does help you truck heat up faster, but as everyone said, doesn't really matter.
  2. AZXJs. He was an active member from Oct. 2005 to June 2006, so I'm gonna post pics of his truck. Dove nose and dove tail. http://arizonaxj.com/photogallery/displayimage.php?album=51&pos=137
  3. When are you picking this up? I wanna see more pics!
  4. It's an '86 2.5L, with the 904 automatic, and NP207 case. I bought it for $100, and was told the transmission was the only thing needing replacing. I got it home, threw it on blocks, pulled the tires, and said, "oh, crap." Now here's what it was, what it has become, and what it is becoming put chronilogically. How I got it: The outside: Front axle (Dana 30): Rear axle (Dana 35) The inside (I cleaned the inside before this): Real gauges! Old, bald, mismatched tires on aluminum rims: No bumper and some banged up trim: Old deck (broken): Rock rails and disconnected exhaust: Factory 2.5L (inspecting with the valve cover off): The front end: The rear end: The old tranny: New tranny, but old t-case (which I'm using): The extra rims I got, but am not using. Maybe for winter tires or somethin: Crappy wires! FUDGE!!! Piston number 2 has holes in it. Big time valve damage. Shocks are blown (one into two pieces)! Time for new suspension... Unknown brand of 3" lift coils: 2" lift shackles (welded flat bar on): Screw you, old motor! New motor (in corner), you are beautiful! God hates you, old motor! You are a mess! A lil cleaned up under the hood: I like this (Mmm XTerrains): On all fours! It's up 2" in back, and because of no engine, tranny, t-case or hood, about 4" in front. 1.25" spacers'll go in once all that's on, so it'll sit about the same hopefully. The rails (still in need of paint): Still no front bumper! And my spare: The old engine finally gets the head pulled. What have we here? Well, well, well... The new guy. Pretty much put together here, but missing a couple things here and there. Hmm... We need some electronics. Let's start with these! MTX 12" JBL GTOs (6x9s for the doors that got cut): 820 Watt amp: Obcon box (match made in heaven for behind my bench): I've got a nice MP3 deck I'm pulling from my GMC for the Comanche, but don't have any pics of that. Also, somewhere in there I got a new radiator. It's of the black variety. I dunno what else. I need fixed adjustable LCAs still, and have gotta do a bizzillion more things, but the engine and trans are now mounted!
  5. I forgot about that emoticon. :rotf:
  6. I scucking hate that front shaft. It's like a friggin toothpick.
  7. Dual MJs! You're on the path to MJ success.
  8. Again? http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1835&highlight=public
  9. Are they the same as ZJs? If they are, I can check Wednesday or Thursday when I'm at the JY, assuming they have one.
  10. Threw them away?... What's that mean?

    Metal Art

Thought I'd show some pics of my buddies and my work on some car parts from dumpsters to see if anyone else out there is stupid like us. This one is Bob. (Ignore the short, fat, Hawaiian kid) This is Don, short for Don(g)atello. (You know what to ignore) This is Steve. History and plans: Don was our first character. He's a Ninja Turtle. His area gets covered in a large tube sock that was off for the photo as he was being painted. We keep it covered so no one gets offended. Steve was our second character. He's an ali-rex-a-lope. He is perfectly matched to a drawing done as a guide for his creation. Tonight he was placed in a round-a-bout (one of many in town), to be round-a-bout art. He is missed. The third character wasn't actually a character at all. It was a bird cage that we modified into a Shopping Drag Cart. It was retarded so we brought it to the cart return at the yuppy Safeway in town. No pictures were taken of it. Our newest character is Bob. Bob bobs. He will have 2 more coils added to him, giving him increased height and bobbability. His stance will also be wider with the addition of more legs. His mid-section is yet to be decided. Hope you all enjoy. Post pics of your creations if you have any!
  12. They taste great. I love welding the stuff. It's comin together! I like the brackets!
  13. It's a pain to get the passenger side one back on. Be ready for delays there. I've had troubles twice on my Manche, and once on a friend's cherokee.
  14. Mmm, I love it with the winch bumper. (and the avitar... :brows: )
  15. My buddy got to drive one the day before yesterday. He works at the dealership and drove it onto the lot. 1st one in the area! I think that's a sexy beast.
  16. I don't know anything about the programming aspect of anything, but I do know I love the way the board is set-up, and the ease of posting. I also like the emoticons, which NAXJA either doesn't have, or I'm not a member so I can't have them.
  17. I think the mismatched rims is fawking sick! I seriously never thought it would look cool, but that looks badass!
  18. Lol, I made a post on this in the problems section before I saw this, sorry. I wanna cry.
  19. PETE!!!! Please  , get rid of his name on the toolbar thing!
  20. Look at some of those trucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'm guessing you want to take the whole coil out, and the clip on the bottom of the coil is trapping it. It's a little dingy that is held down by a bolt with something like a 1/2" head. Remove that with the lower control arm and sway bar disconnected and you can pull the coil out.
  22. NOT with everyone my friend. Many good people out there that still do business on a hand shake and their word. Works for me. CW That's what I did when I sold a pair of control arms a month or two back (but virtually). Said, I'm sending the arms now, mail me a check soon, and the guy did it.
  23. I do like that. In fact, I think that's awesome. I think showing a Grand with blingin rims is homo though. Seldomly do I see an H2 on anything smaller than 20s around here.
  24. Thank you, I'll give it a shot. Classes start Monday for me, and the school's right next to the JY!
