  1. I'm scared. Wonder what the interior looks like.
  2. And I'm planning to move out to Ohio in a few years, lol. I found all mine buried in one big hole.
  3. Careful about sayin that! Some people'll flip over it. Not me though, I'm still a stupid kid that does stupid things and I'm dumb... Forgot, living in Ohio means you get to put new exhaust on every few years.
  4. This truck reminds me of a 3-in-1 model kit or something. You can choose which style you want to build it, cause there's enough parts to build 2 more trucks. Sorry, I've got nothing helpful to say, but if you need a part, I'm going to the JY this week and can ship you something.

    new MJ

Looks real clean from here! That bumper definitely does not match the truck though.
  6. No one ever notices in my pics: You didn't mention your '86 badges! Are those the factory roll bar lights? Once you have the bumper on, you oughta fix that exhaust hanging down.
  7. This new pack sounds real stiff. What type of ride are you looking for?
  8. Sawheet! That thing came out awesome! Definitely original in appearance to.
  9. A few weeks back this thread came up: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2059&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=bumper But I'm sure people will post again as well.
  10. What's the planned use for the truck? It may or may not be too wide depending on where you're taking it.
  11. So the 8.8 as in the truck when you got it?
  12. I don't know about Frankensteinsmj, but I'm looking to preserve my seat.
  13. Theoretically, using XJ springs in the sping-over-axle set-up should put you back at about stock heighth. However, the springs are much shorter, as Oizarod115 stated.
  14. But... Keep in mind, it is a 20 year old vehicle. Any vehicle of this age is going to take tinkering, at least from time to time. If you have some basic mechanical knowledge, or a close friend or relative that does, you're ace in the hole, and good to go!
  15. I don't think the 2.8L V6 ever came with a serpentine belt setup in the Cherokee or Comanche. They all had V belts. That might not even be a 2.8L V6. It's hard to tell. I started argueing with myself too. Looks like the distributor's in the same location (a hidden one behind the air filter).
  16. Don't know which ProComps you're looking at, but the XTerrains run big. 31s on my 4.25" front end are a perfect, when normally ppl seem to run 31s on 3". I can't seem to find any pics on my hard drive of that combo, sorry.
  17. This was in the paper, so I looked it up and found the video. It was on the Oregon Coast in 1970. A dead whale washed onto the shore, and someone called the Oregon Department Of Transportation to get rid od it. They filled it up with dynamite to "disinegrate" (spelling?) it. http://home.comcast.net/~sthacks/new_whale/media/whale-hi.mov

    FNG

Seems like GWs go for $500 around here. J-trucks for $1000. :dunno:
  19. Show it all! It's about bloody time you got it.
  20. Looks like you'll be relocating your highlift, too. Those bars may not do much for safety, but they do more than nothing.
  21. Off my '86. And yeah, the difference betweeen the alts is mounting. Bad picture of the engine, good picture of the bracket:
