Is it a Comanche lift shackle/Chevy drop shackle or a Cherokee lift shackle?

Keep in mind, bumpstops compress, usually more than people realize. Make sure they are what's bottoming out and not your shock, cause a bent shaft on a new shock sucks.

I had the castle nut issue with my TB (Rusty's) too. Ended up tightening it down, driving to work, tightening it down, driving to the trail, tightening it down, doing a mile of trail, tightening it down, and then putting the pin in. Just wouldn't seat. As for the break, looks like I should prepare myself and get another TB ready...

I don't believe the mileage for some reason. I've seen vehicles with 12k on them maybe is why.

Won't change the spring rate. His spring rate is 50-75 lbs/inch, which is extreme. I kinda want those springs... Don't shackle lift more than 2". You can add-a-leaf or two for 3", so a combo would get you 5 and would stiffen it up a bit. If axle wrap was going to be an issue, I wouldn't worry about it being SOA or SUA, as it shouldn't be a huge difference. Thought about linking it?

First vehicle I was bought: '85 GMC 2500 HD. Lifted it 2" in the front to fit some 33s, and learned how to tune a carb. Oh boy, did I learn how to tune a carb. 350/th400/np208. Eventually rolled it, and now it sits in need of a new motor and body work. First vehicle I bought: '84 Toy Straight axle, swapped in 20R. Took the bed off, Chevy 63s with the frame hacked where the buggy leaves mounted and no doors. Sure did wreck that truck.

What's the orange in the top of the corner? That, I think, is the bulb. They are amber because the lens is clear. Trick I learned for orange bulbs is to lightly mist them with silver spray paint. Sitting, they look silver, but powered on they are def orange.

I think he meant that if you had to set part of it onto your bedrail (the top of the sides), it would collapse them. I have no idea how much weight a Manche can hold in its bed, but the first problem that would arise from too much is failing brakes. The weight of half of a vehicle probably wouldn't go over the limit, but would come close.

You got two of the things I was going to mention. Check your distibutor cap and rid it of all moisture possible. Get your alternator bench tested at Parts House X. Lastly, pull a plug from your head and crank the motor with someone watching the hole. Need to make sure there's no water in there or you could really mess things up. If there is water, it will squirt quite far.

OT: What is it called when you buy just the front half of the car?

Was going to suggest this too. Was my problem when doing an Add-A-Leaf on my GMC. Also, doing it the improper way can rip your bushings and hurt your suspension's travel. When you install the new springs, put the bolts in place and hand tighten the nuts, then set the vehicle down and torque up the bolts. Poly can be that loud though?

Those are just good conditioned springs over the axle in back? Flex well!
