    i want to do the same setup. plus you have a nice deck/porch area when you walk out instead of a tailgate.

    we are a jeep family as well. dad has an 05 grand cherokee and the Willys, mom has a 05 wrangler, sister has a 02 grand cherokee. i definitely got the bug from my dad.

    i don't see the need either. i have yet to even twist the splines on a shaft. i made new 3/16" retaining plates because i was sick of bending them causing a leak.

    sure is. the bed corners sure like hitting stuff so i had to do something with the paint.

    why does it look basic? cause there are only a few parts back there compared to front? sometimes simpler is better. i have no complaints with the rear of my MJ
