So how many '92 Hunter Green Metallic owners here?
89eliminator replied to 91Pioneer's topic in The Pub
Orange, nooooooo...... Why? Got any pics? two reasons. i had to sell it to automan2164 because i was starting college that was a 90 mile round trip. i needed something easy on gas and a little more reliable. i wish i would have held onto it. had to sell the 92 and my ATV and bought a honda civic. my second reason is knowing how it ended up. I'm sure glad someone spent the time to redo the bodywork, but man was i bummed when i found out it was painted orange. It's still alive and well... ;) I'm gonna end up with it someday, maaaaaaybe I'll be able to have it repainted to its former glory, its still a very nice truck after all the overhauling. I don't doubt it. i've always been appreciative that someone spent the time/money to redo it. just didnt end up how i thought it should have. then again its not my truck anymore so my opinion doesnt matter lol. -
great game! having no dog in the fight, i wasnt really rooting for anyone. thats the way a championship game should be. so much different then the final four games.

before i comment further... ...how are you achieving the extended and compressed length measurements? you say you used an engine hoist to "lift off the front tire". please explain. are there any shocks currently bolted on? really the most effective way to is to measure mount-to-mount length at ride height, then measure how much distance your bumpstops are away from the contact patch. look for a shock that is about 2" less than that bumpstop measurement. example, ride height length is 23". distance between bumpstop and contact patch is 4". get a shock that has a collapsed length of 17"

took it to the badlands last weekend for NAXJAs Winterfest. took out the ring gear in the process. -
i wouldn't call it random, but you are chosen. your submission would be having a build thread that an admin may chose.

i leave the MJ in park. Straps to the axles (using axle straps) that run to the trailer in an "X" fashion. front axle straps go forward and the rear axle straps go rearward. never had an issue.

it seemed like they never even fit a set onto an MJ. the cutouts were all wrong, the bolt holes for the trans crossmember didnt line. just general fitment was garbage. the kits is from T&M Fabrication. i sent them emails so that they could hopefully fix the issues. -
false. getting to use the stock leaf packs results in a smoother ride and better off road performance. the flatter the leaf pack arch, they better. there is a drawback though, and that is a greater chance for axle wrap. when i was still on leaf springs, i had to fab a traction bar because my axle wrap was so bad.

I guess I missed the part about the lawyers and lawsuits.

I guess I see things different. Is it awesome that a person or company takes the time to develop MJ product? Absolutely! But I think it's fair for people to question/recommend ways to improve something ESPECIALLY with it being in the prototype phase. I saw the pics and immediately thought that I would never buy that bumper based off the mounts just butt welded to the box tubing. Luckily, gussets will be added so that reverses my opinion.

What rock sliders to get??
89eliminator replied to JasonB's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
XJ sliders won't fit. last i knew, only Nates were making MJ sliders. There aren't many companies making MJ products because there just aren't that many MJs out there. -

Still plugging away. Got the mid stiffeners on. They fit like total crap so I had to cut them all up and not even use a portion of them (mainly due to my long arm setup). In other news, I picked this truck up. '12 ecoboost.
