  1. This is my rig with 6.5" coils paired with SOA on 2wd leafs and a 1"lift shackle. It was slightly higher in the rear. During acceleration, the leaf pack will want to twist due to the torque. A traction bar mounts from the axle tube to the frame and they prevent that twisting effect. If the packs twist far enough, you will damage them and also run the risk of snapping ujoints.
  2. i went from 4.5" leaf packs SUA to 2wd leaf packs SOA. that being sad, i would NEVER go the 4.5" SUA route again. pretty much everything about it is better. like i previously said, you will notice more axle wrap. i eventually built a traction bar but ran without one for many years. what lift are you going to do for the front?
  3. what kind of information are you looking for? ride quality will be better with SOA and stock leaf packs, however there will be more axle wrap. it depends on what you plan on doing with the jeep.
  4. 1 1/4 is pretty small. Most go with 1 1/2 or 1 3/4.
  5. I remember when I joined the mj project page was only one page long. I will have my 10 year anniversary in April.
  6. Ready for some night wheelin
  7. Forgot to mention mine is a 19gal cell.
  8. complete waste of money. like already stated, they trap dirt/debris inside the tube.
  9. Very nice with everything, Wade! I like the simplicity of everything. Did you plate the frame any before putting the new mounts on? It's hard to tell but yeah it's plated. Also have a piece of solid square tube tieing the upper mounts and frame rails together.
  10. Here ya go. Truss is from genright that I got off craigslist for dirt cheap, mounts/heims are from barnes4wd and I'm running 14" FOAs.
  11. no, still too soft. need to probably get a sway bar but will just get stiffer springs till i can afford an antirock
  12. i know nothing about how well they fit, but they look pretty decent and the price is damn good as well. http://www.t-mfab.com/store-3/mj-unibody-stiffiners/
  13. i am going to have to opt out of this trip. money is tight after my trip to Harlan and I am starting a new job.
  14. it runs! still have steering issues tho :(
  15. then these people don't know where the good trails are.
  16. ok. thats how i have mine mounted. it did not indicate orientation on it or in the manual. also, are you supposed to keep the rubber "boot" on the pump?
  17. RCI 19 gal with E2000 pump. maybe you can help me with the pump orientation, should the side with the electrical connections be on the tank or engine side? does it matter?
