  1. i ran with it mounted in the stock axle location for a year and had some bumpsteer so i redid the mount.
  2. otk will have a possibility of hitting the aftermarket cover as well. it barely clears my ballistic fab cover and would contact it if i didnt adjust my steering stops out. i like my JCR OTK kit. just have to replace the poly spacer about once a year to stop the tie rod roll.
  3. they surprise me too. I have smacked mine off a few trees. they take the abuse.
  4. they are stronger than you think.....
  5. i wish i had local trails like that lol. well i wish i just had local trails....... jeep looks great! looks like it was working well too.
  6. you must be spoiled. i thought (and my entire club) thought it was well worth the 10hr drive we had.
  7. Let me know if they changed the entrance tk the pink trail. I was there a few months ago and got denied on the first obstacle. There used to be a third rock in the middle on the backside, it is no longer there. you gotta come at it straight on. its still the same and nobody in our group had an issue (1 TJ and 2 SWB MJs) and i will be staying at the badlands campground. i was never a fan of road travel to get to the park just in case of a breakage. with a truck bed camper, its not easy for me to just load up on the trailer and go.
  8. i've had mine mounted like this for about 7 years now and have no issues. i have about 3.5" of uptravel and 8.5" of down travel. the leaf springs is what limit my down travel.
  9. i ran all the colored trails when i was on skinny 33s and locked. they arent that bad. Purgatory has numerous lines so you can make that as hard or easy as you want. I'm going this weekend. i'll take pics :)
  10. this wouldnt be the first pow wow
  11. i agree. i just wanna wheel with some MJs haha.
  12. i voted badlands, but am pretty flexible (depending on dates). maybe it would be better to have a north/south pow wow.
  13. but if it gets too south then i won't be able to go. its going to be impossible to accomodate everyone, unless you put it in the direct center of the eastern US.
  14. or just camp on site.. So your saying you can camp in the park? There is a campground at the entrance to the park. It is not technically in the park, but its as close as you can get.
  15. or just camp on site....
  16. yeah we love going up there.
  17. went wheeling with my club to Iron Range OHV park in Gilbert MN this past weekend. great time as usual. had quite a few damaged rigs, even sending two of them home early. the MJ did fairly well until saturday afternoon. tried rock bouncing a steep hill 4 or 5 times. the last try ending with this. i also ripped the traction bar off the axle tube at the same time... and here are the only other pics i took. will update when someone posts their pics.
  18. badlands harlan coal creek SMORR not to try and sound like a jerk, but these are the only places worth it to me to make a trip to.
  19. i still see a cab :)
  20. what did you cut
  21. i would assume some CC members are also NAXJA members, like myself. if we did this, i would technically be there with NAXJA so that i can participate in the dinner and raffle.
  22. I was thinking of coming down for Harlan next year.... looks like you guy's have lots of fun. well worth it!
  23. this will depend on the date. we go to Harlan every 4th of july for a NAXJA event.
  24. i would be down for another badlands meet
