Gas gauge- sticking float
Squeegy410 replied to Dirteatr717's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
the gas gauge getting stuck halfway up proboby has someting to do with your floater. and as for the sending unit i would just use one for a new xj. drop the tank and figure out how to make i work. it can't be very hard. i had a 64 dodge a100 truck (like the little red wagon drag truck) and it didnt have a tank at all. my dad and i built a gas tank for it and used the sending unit out of a 80's model ford pickup. the gauge worked fine with that sending unit. so a slightly newer jeep model sending unit almost has to work :dunno: -

no we don't sell eggs we give them to all of our neighbors and friends. i love having chickens and parts cars laying around everywhere :D we don't have any parts jeeps yet but dad's wanting to sell off alot of the old fords to make room for new toys :D btw I'm not gunna hijack the thread, but we have an explorer motor and tranny we may need to get rid of. pm me if you know who needs one. but back to chickens, the eggs wouldnt sell for much, and we like to give them away  one guy we give them to has a son in 4h. he brought our eggs and they got top grade and first place

yeah but you could still have more pride than that  haha I'm not gunna start any fights i'll shut up now. do what you gotta do man

why is it hard to shift into 2nd gear?
Squeegy410 replied to BigDaddy's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
if he just replaced the clutch it may just need the lines bled. just take the top off of your clutch master cylinder and watch for bubbles when you mash the clutch. other wise sence its your first time driving stick, you need to practice syncing your engine with your tranny. listen for it, its weird, but you can tell when the engine is in sync, it won't be revved up or bogged down. that makes shifting alot nicer -
I didnt know the animals wrote songs about comanches... or the beatles

we have all different breeds. one baney hen whos small but reallllly mean haha, a few dominickers, and alot of red and white hens. i think the red ones are rhode island reds. I'm not so sure about most of em. we buy alot of them from amish people and they come in variety packs
-
i just found the stack of cards pete sent me :D gunna throw em in the glove box for future use
-
well, all i can say is... you all forgot one of these .... so here we go  that should make up for all the forgotten ones :D
-
Oh hes wonderfull :D curios, but not mean at all. he won't quite let you touch him but he'll let you get pretty close. he craps all over the hood of our 95 dually 460 four door ford pickup all the time lol. just that truck, never mine, i guess he likes to crap in luxury :D anyway, he likes to fan out those feathers and run off the cats to steal their food haha. he chases the guineas more than he does the pea fowls. don't understand that :dunno: but oh well. like i said his main advantage is chasing off hawks

oh and i found my cc sticker :D slapped that puppy on my banjo case :rotf: easy advertising

dug through the camera and found a few old pictures of the birds :D This is reuben J (rooster J cogburn  ) hes a cyclops and proboby 6 years old Next up is T. Pain :rotf: My baney rooster :D One bad dude  And finally we have Sam. a peacock... his tail feathers are about 3 1/2 feet longer now and still growing rapidly.
-
I'm a small scale chicken farmer myself  we have about 20 chickens right now, we get about 14 eggs a day right now and should start getting more once my pullets start laying. we have allot of good chickens. ones one eyed so we call him reuben cogburn (to any john wayne fans  ). I have a baney rooster i bought from tractor supply almost a year ago. hes a gorgeous baney. big feathers on his feet, great coloration, and looks meaner than sin  . I can take some pics if you want just to keep the conversation steamy :rotf: . oh we also have a peacock named sam, two pea hens, and more guineas than i can count. they run free and mingle with the nieghbors so we probobly have around 20 but you can never tell. the peacocks keep the hawks away. i wouldnt screw with a peacock if i was a hawk, those bad dudes are mean looking haha.

I'm sure everyone can agree with this. one of the determining factors of buying an mj was because they are too cool to turn away from. i remember thinking "man jeeps are cool, but a jeep pickup, i can't pass this up" :D

this is a fun story :D My dad has an old friend who is losing his mind. He thought the reason he was going crazy was this black mold growing under his house, so her hired me and my dad to dig around his house and french drain it to redirect all the water away from his house. During this process we got to go look at all his stuff (the real reason hes going crazy, his dad left him alot of money when he died and hes losing his mind worrying about losing the money). he showed us all his tractors, all his trucks, everything. one was a beat up old 89 eliminator. I looked at it, thought it was cool because ide never seen a jeep pickup before, and fell in love with it when i figured out it was exactly the truck i wanted. It was a five speed, wich was a requirement, it was small with a strong moter and good gas mileage, and was very cool  i had recently graduated and saved some money due to that, and was minus a ride. i told dad to drop a hint about the mj. when the work was said and done we had traded part of the bill for a 40's model farm-all M, and he still didnt wanna sell his jeep. oh well i thought maybe he'll come off of it. once grass started growing back around his house he started feeling better and decided to sell all the crap he wasnt using, including his mj  . I bought it from him. when i bought it i started it long enough to pull it on a trailor to bring it home. i had to replace all the radiator hoses and the reservoir among other things before it would be road worthy. I'm now in love with comanches

I also got to promote today :D A cat at the college i go to happened to park close to me. when i got to my truck i heard "hey its the comanche guy". i turned around to see him and his 86 manche. we spoke for a minute about comanches, i showed him the work i did on my headliner, showed him how to tell a d44 (me) from a d35 (him ;) ), then wrote comancheclub.com squeegy410 kenny keene on a napkin from my glove box :chillin: I told him to get on and send me a message once he makes an account for his mj :D :D I have some cards around here somewhere but i keep forgetting to put them in my truck :fool: . Anyway we should have new member named tim from good ole gallatin on here soon
