  1. does he plan to chop the top :brows: ?
  2. Ok, so if a cell phone poroduces 1/1000 as much power as a microwave, why didnt the british program try it with 1000 phones? then they may have gotten somewhere  and does that mean that 1000 phone calls is as much radiation as one session of microwaving your head? because that still sucks haha :clapping:
  3. and to get the new master cylinder on i do recall slightly bending the line that connects to it. i did this because i had an aftermarket master cylinder from o'rieleys (sp) . My truck is my DD and It doesnt like to start in gear so i didnt have much of an option aside from changing it right now and o'reileys can have me a part by 2 pm if i tell them before like 11 am
  4. haha yes we ground the surface, and if you don't grind it it also pops and fizzles and won't realy weld until it burns a hole in the metal :ack:
  5. just for future reference you can email yourself the pictures from your cell
  6. i just read the first page. i don't feel like reading the rest haha but i did this swap in about 30 minutes a few months ago. the clutch master cylinder is a douche to get out. i took off my washer fluid reservoir (2 screws) and then just fenangled it out of there. just be very carefull not to bend or break anything and keep a set of swivvle sockets close by. ps getting the new one back in is just as annoying and much easier with two people (one in the cab sighting it in and one pushing it in through the outside)
  7. easy way to determine whether its spark or fuel would be just to use starting fluid. if it starts with starting fluid you have spark, if it dies afterwards you don't have fuel, if it keeps running it still may not be getting enough fuel, but its more likely getting too much and flooding out before you can start it. maybe thats helpful :dunno:
  8. I forgot where it was, but when we were building a floor for my brothers 65 ford pickup we found a really good deal on 1'x1' galvenized sheet metal. it was about 18 gauge and worked really well. it mig welds just as easy as non galvenized and bent really well and is still strong. Just throwing that out there :D
  9. I have to highly reccomend the 4.0 and a d44 rear end. I can go wayyy faster than my spedometer allows (especially because it reads 10 mph slower than I'm actualy going) and i can go anywhere with jsut a 2wd. i have never been stuck and mine is a farm truck/dd. If it thinks about getting stuck it just positracs and keeps goiong. I was talking to my dad about putting a 4wd axle in my mj and he said if that thing had 4wd it would climb a light pole  . so even if you do want a 4wd you may not actually need it haha. Welcome to the club btw I'm Kenny. any questions (especialy dumb ones seeing as how those are the ones i ask more than often) feel free to ask
  10. The horn button on eliminator steering wheels has allen whench bolts on it. don't TRY TO TURN THEM! they are very soft and will just distort and strip. not that i tried it or anything... :dunce: :fool: but the horn button just pulls off with allitle delicate pressure ;)
  11. PLEASE NEVER spray out your air filters with an air comressor or hose pipe! I'm not sure what the recharge kit does but so many people think if they jsut blow all the crap out of their filter itl be like brand new, but it actually makes it worthless. blowing out an air filter just takes all the little chunks of dirt and sandy stuff it kept from going into your engine and blows them straight through the filter, leaving holes all in your filter and letting those little bits of dirt get into your engine when you run it again. :smart:

    MJ horns

haha quick related story. some douche was bringing a car battery and horn to every football game when i was in high school. every time my schools team scored he would lay in to honking and keep going until he killed hte battery. me and my brother got sick of it so we filled up an air tank and hooked a valve stem to the back of a big rig horn. it sounded like a steam boat. we snuck it into the stadium with the band and when the little douche lit in to honking his car horn my brother drowned the stadium with that air horn. he was so loud i couldnt even hear the band, and i was playing saxaphone in the band haha.

    MJ horns

My horns are entirely off key so they sound like hell  they really get attention. to wire them in i just ran a robber from the hot on the original horn and bolted the other horn right next to it. it works well. i also have an oogha horn that i found during tornado clean up :D i put it on my dads big diesal truck just for fun sence i didnt have a vehicle at the time and once i got my dart i didnt wanna put an oogha on it haha. my brother has the little red air horns and compressor but they play dixie
  14. like i said i literally had to jam it in there. it takes a ton of effort to pull it out (i had to pull out after i made sure it "fit") it has no problem with moving :D after i installed it i took some curves hard and stuff and jumped some railroad tracks ;) its not going anywhere  thanks for the compliments too :D the box is more than a necesesity ive already used it a ton

    MJ horns

THe horn on a comanche is a pain to find. I finally found it yesterday and added a second horn from an old maverick on there because the horn on it sounded so wimpy haha. ill try to take some pics when i get the chance
  16. I've had this box for a while, and finally decided to cram it (literally) into my MJ. It took some "persuasion" but it looks nice IMO. here's the side shot. It sits down in the bed, no wings to go over the side. Back, like I said no clearance at all, had to push and wiggle it in there. Here are the blocks I had to make for it to work. I had to measure and cut 2X4's to compensate for the hump caused by the fuel hose. it was no problem though just a tape measure, a pencil, a chain saw, and a band saw. Oh and a nail gun. And last but not least i added my decal not too long ago :chillin: I lost my camera and couldnt take "in progress" pictures but any questions are welcome :D
  17. If you use a rear axle don't take the gears out of the box. they won't hurt anything and you may need the rear end again one day
  18. anyone know an easy way to fabricate a headliner for an mj? i need a very simple very cheap headliner. any suggestions?
  19. I just poured some good lucas fuel system cleaner in a full tank of gas and burned all the gas up. my engine still likes to rev on start up. i really don't wanna take my iac apart and have no clue how. it appears as though its my only option. any help? (pictures and detailed instructions greatly appreciated  )
  20. if you think your fuel has water in it you can pour about half a bottle of rubbing alcohol in your tank. Gasoline (especially octane) is hydrophobic and won't mix with water, and of course water won't burn on its own, but if you put soem rubbing alcohol in your tank it is hydrophylic and will mix with the water and cause it to burn. Its a pretty simple solution to a big problem
  21. yup ide say thats as good a deal as you could ask for
  22. The great and powerfull Eagle has spoken. I wish you were wrong sometimes haha cuz i want my jeep to not have problems :ack:
  23. i also love the five spokes  i run them too. The story behind mine is the p.o. hated the stock mj wheels (as do i) and stole the five spokes off his daughters xj before he sold it :brows: works great for me in the end haha.
  24. haha yeah my '89 4.0 is the exact same way. The PO got so worried he had replaced the starter with a brand new one and the plugs with platinums then the wires and a nice distributor  haha so i had alot of really nice parts that were unnecessary but very welcome :D i wouldn't worry about the turn over time, but carry jumper cables if your battery starts to head south for the winter :D
  25. i love it man. it looks the way a pick up should look :D and don't get sick if theres rust, as long as your not driving like fred flintstone your fine
