which state did it get kidnapped in? -
thats what i love about living on the farm, atleast ive got a barn =p

So I can OA weld alluminum with those rods?? I never even thought about OA welding aluminum but it wouldnt be very hard. i woud need to practice some because it has a low melting point compared to steel. Any tips on how to do it?
-
Ok i see where the wires were crossed now. The guy was trying to sell my dad the truck and wanted to make it seem as rare as possible so he put the MUTT's story behind the Ford. My dad didn't buy it regardless haha.

Project "Eliminator"
Squeegy410 replied to 89eliminator's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
OA welding is a little rough on thick metal, especialy if your welding thick to thin. Before you do anything i would take a couple pieces the same size and material of what i was going to weld and practice. then whe you actually go to weld everything keep plenty of vice grips around and a good welding hammer. it also really helps to get a good grinder with a cut off blade on it. if you mess up a weld just smoothe it out and go over it. also make sure you throw heat more toward the thicker metal if necesarry. oh! and of course good glasses are a must, and don't go too dark with the glasses. you need protection but you also need to see. number four or five is acceptable, not 9 or ten  -
Yet another SOA question
Squeegy410 replied to MJ is dead's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
MJ is Dead - Just because your mj won't start its not a piece of crap, its a masterpiece waiting to happen  btw sorry I'm off topic  -
gotcya. i really don't know enough about the subject to argue it. jsut one story about one vehicle, and somone could have definately got their wires crossed before it got to me haha. I just thought it was very interesting. what exactly is a mutt?

haha i definately have. gotta love white zombie. horton heat is great too but i wish guitar hero wouldnt have mainstreamed it :fs1: -
I'm glad mine isn't. I like the ability to weld whatever i want to to it if i have to, and i can't afford an aluminum welder haha. but i do seriously wish i had just a small aluminum welder. I have an alumimum cross box under my barn that is a quarter inch too short to fit in my bed and i don't want to cut the bed up. so sad :( :(
-
haha i have used a comealong and a weeping wilow tree to "hoist" cars before. That is as shade tree as it gets
-
Maybe it wasnt ifs/irs under the fords, I think it was a weird A frame design or something, but whatever it was they did flip like mad. I'm just going based on the storey i was told yesterday, and i know it was all based on the ford because thats the vehicle my dad was looking at and even considered buying, but of course the guy wanted 3,500 for a car that was locked up and rusted to pieces. :ack:
