There should be I think 3 phillips screws on the back and you can remove your whole odom. assembly. Then just put your old one in its place so you don't have to roll any miles.
I had this problem too, seeing as how all the XJs in the JY have well over 200K
I searched but couldn't find exactly what I am looking for..
I was wondering if anyone knows how these shackles would fit on a MJ?

I dunno what happened but my rear main was leaking about a half quart out a week. I seafoam-ed my engine(half through vac. hose, 1/4 in oil, and 1/4 in gas) and it stopped leaking. My rear main hasn't leaked ever since
I went through the same thing when I bought my MJ. Very frustrating much like everything on the MJ.. If your flasher is working then you either have the wrong bulbs in there or a bad socket. My MJ had a bad socket on the drivers side front and two bad rear sockets. They would still light up but no flash.
If all the bulbs are replaced then you have a bad socket somewhere. Take your bulbs out and look into the sockets and see if you can find the one thats broken. :smart:
Well there are 2 requirements you have to obey while driving the third gen..
1- Must have a clean wife beater shirt on.
2- Must play loud rock music from the 80s and no rap.
Advance auto parts sells aftermarket ones in the so called performance section of the store. They have two different lengths and I'm pretty sure the longer one should work for you.
Man I miss my third gen.. 91 RS that I built.. Dropped 1.5" 350 TBI edelbrock TI Tech coated headers, 2.5" Flowmaster exhaust, 2700 stall with a B@M shift kit.

Ok since it is an 89 it has the RENIX controlled motor. It is usual for it to take a long time to crank. My 89 takes between 4-6 seconds to start.
The idle issue could be an idle air control valve..
I want to put an AAL in my truck, but I have never done it before. Is there a good link or write up on doing it? I was thinking a 1.5" short AAL so I don't have to take my leaves apart just add it to the bottom. (If thats possible)
