  1. Clean your throttle body and IAC.
  2. He said he is buying it.. That is why it is 10 hours away.
  3. There should be I think 3 phillips screws on the back and you can remove your whole odom. assembly. Then just put your old one in its place so you don't have to roll any miles. I had this problem too, seeing as how all the XJs in the JY have well over 200K
  4. I searched but couldn't find exactly what I am looking for.. I was wondering if anyone knows how these shackles would fit on a MJ? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1988-201 ... ccessories
  5. I would tow it honestly. It it has a shake than more than likely it has death wobble, and that will make your trip a miserable one! :smart:
  6. I am from MA and hated when they got rid of the autofillers.. Now that I live in MD they have them and I love it.
  7. I dunno what happened but my rear main was leaking about a half quart out a week. I seafoam-ed my engine(half through vac. hose, 1/4 in oil, and 1/4 in gas) and it stopped leaking. My rear main hasn't leaked ever since
  8. So I guess it is safe to say the 4.2L coil is the same too :dunno:
  9. I went through the same thing when I bought my MJ. Very frustrating much like everything on the MJ.. If your flasher is working then you either have the wrong bulbs in there or a bad socket. My MJ had a bad socket on the drivers side front and two bad rear sockets. They would still light up but no flash.
  10. If all the bulbs are replaced then you have a bad socket somewhere. Take your bulbs out and look into the sockets and see if you can find the one thats broken. :smart:

  15. Hey! You really need to buy a chain for your bike before you ride it anywhere..
  16. Well there are 2 requirements you have to obey while driving the third gen.. 1- Must have a clean wife beater shirt on. 2- Must play loud rock music from the 80s and no rap.
  17. Advance auto parts sells aftermarket ones in the so called performance section of the store. They have two different lengths and I'm pretty sure the longer one should work for you.
  18. Not to Hi jack but mine is doing this too.. Thought it was the cheap trans mount I got from Advance auto parts.
  19. I have owned 5 THIRD gens and the floors weren't bad at all. I had one car that had a small surface rust spot under the drivers seat.
  20. Man I miss my third gen.. 91 RS that I built.. Dropped 1.5" 350 TBI edelbrock TI Tech coated headers, 2.5" Flowmaster exhaust, 2700 stall with a B@M shift kit. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.c ... D=38975365
  21. Thats a nice deal! I wish I could find them like that near me!
  22. Ok since it is an 89 it has the RENIX controlled motor. It is usual for it to take a long time to crank. My 89 takes between 4-6 seconds to start. The idle issue could be an idle air control valve..
  23. What year is your MJ? Does it idle low all the time or just for a little while upon start-up?
  24. Ok so what will I need to order? I don't want to start and not be able to finish. I should need a longer pin and some clips?
  25. I want to put an AAL in my truck, but I have never done it before. Is there a good link or write up on doing it? I was thinking a 1.5" short AAL so I don't have to take my leaves apart just add it to the bottom. (If thats possible)
