  1. Every time I come to this thread I find more stuff I want to do, thanks Ryan! On that subject: I have a question for you, if that is okay. When you installed the 97+ front clip, you also installed the fenders from the 97+ XJ, why? Is this necessary for fitting the clip or was it because of the fender flares matching the front bumper?
  2. ..... It's a 2WD, it's not a full OBD2 Swap, those are not original MOAB rims, they left the pre facelift doors on, cheap Nate's rear bumper, 3/4 gauge cluster. HOW are they asking 7 Grand? Admittedly, it is clean. But it's still a renix 4 low with the aforementioned issues.
  3. I say yes. I'm hoping that your plastic will be of a stronger quality than the stockers.
  4. I am eagerly awaiting to see that headunit installed, as well. Love the rims, too!
  5. Awesome video!
  6. Nope, my gauge will move left but no more than 0.2 to 0.6 volt, depending on high or low setting.
  7. Why not have your current one rebuilt and uprated? You have an AC delco 10 or 12SI, both very capable of 90 amps or more. Make sure you upgrade your wiring, too. Kelley's WIP is a great source for this, although I've read he's currently behind on his orders.
  8. www.Rockauto.com Plenty of choice, I prefer Bosch but Carter is also good. Much cheaper than parts stores.
  9. Yup, that looks like my AX5.
  10. Be carefull of transfer case engagement issues with the 13/14 models. I spent some time on the RAM forum reading multiple posts about this issue, there was one member who made a video about it and the noise was truly horrible when he would try to engage 4HI. However, they're still the best looking half ton pick up on the market in my opinion.
  11. Holy crap sir, those lines from the MC to the distribution block have been bent a few times! Did you do it by hand? They look like they may have collapsed, meaning it is restricting flow.
  12. I....I kinda like it. Reminds me of the range rover evoque.
  13. Rockauto has them.
  14. Lotsa things, it depends on what you're willing to spend. Currie HD steering setup: http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product.aspx?id=1219 You can install WJ knuckles to get a larger rotor and caliper: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/wj-knuckle-swap-parts-list-1216365/ You can install a much stronger brake booster + MC: http://comancheclub.com/topic/24430-wj-booster-and-master-cylinder-upgrade/ You could swap in disc brakes in the rear, either through a Junkyard set or with Teraflex: http://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/tmi-4354425/overview/ You could also swap steering boxes with a durango for a quicker turning ratio. The possibilities are almost endless
  15. Do you start your car immediately, or do you give the fuel pump time to prime? Problem with hot starting could point to your fuel rail being heat soaked, but that is hard to verify. How does your fuel return line look? Could it be leaking?
  16. Start here: http://comancheclub.com/topic/36382-cruisers-renix-tips/ Do the CPS test first, then post back.
  17. I was going to be that person when I fixed my sending unit, I wanted to take pictures and everything. The fuel smell was so overwhelming, I couldn't wait to get it back into the tank. I just rushed through it, I hope you do better.
  18. That is an MJ unit. When I got my MJ, mine didn't stay down either. I looked into getting a YJ model, I don't remember the details but I know it would not have fit without a lot of adjusting. I simply decided to fix my MJ assembly. See my build thread for more info.
  19. How hot are we talking? I'll skip the scientific part of heat and electricity, but there are a lot of amps running through that wire to the starter motor.
  20. Could it be related to the EGR system? (Assuming the 2.8 had an EGR system)
  21. I'd love some new Comanche letter badges, especially if it's quality stuff. But for now, I'm more interested in those bezel covers for two door XJ seats
  22. I installed a Gentex 177a interior mirror, off of a early 2000 Tahoe. Gives you a compass, temperature reading and it has an auto dimming feature.
  23. I tried using household wire to backprobe it, the connections are weatherproof so I couldn't get it in right. Even if I could, I'd have no way good way to loosen the TPS. I'm going to find a rebuild kit for the TBI, if I'm going to go through the effort of taking it off I might as well clean it up. Thanks Jeep Driver.
