The single nozzle itself is different from the dual nozzle. You would have to exchange the entire cowl panel. I've never tried it, but I would think the later cowl panel with the dual sprayers would be a direct bolt on for the 84-85 XJs. Here is a pic of the 84-85 single nozzle panel in tan, compared to the dual nozzle in red.

Same 1986-2001. 1984-85 XJs used a single, center mounted windshield sprayer nozzle that doesn't interchange with the more common 1986-2001 dual nozzle version.

I had my lowers out in the Marine Corps right before I retired, after avoiding it for decades. I opted to remain conscious with local numbing. Kind of glad I did. They had a heck of a time getting them out, which I guess happens. But the nurse who was assisting the dentist... something about her didn't sit right with me before the operation. During the operation, as they were struggling to get the teeth out, she put her fist against my face to gain leverage, I guess. She basically had her knuckles dug into my upper lip, smashing it into my teeth. I endured it as long as I could, and finally lightly tapped her leg with my hand, like tapping out while sparring. She jumped like she'd been shot. Gave me a dirty look. The doctor looked at her, at me, back at her, and figured out what had been going on. He was like, "you ok?". I nodded. The next day, my lip was fat, like I'd taken a punch. The nurse never apologized, never said a word. I really got the feeling she didn't care one way or the other. Really made me glad I stayed conscious. Had I been out, I would have had a fat lip and no idea.

I haven't used them yet. My life is pretty busy, and my MJ project (4x4 conversion) and CJ5 project (frame off restomod with LS) haven't seen any notable progress. I hope to get work done on both in the near future, and was confident enough in that to get some new rubber for the wheels... maybe? Seriously considering having another set of Turbines I have polished by a local shop, and using those on the MJ, and using the powder coated ones on my XJ.

The color is Sparkle Silver. I had these done at a powedercoat shop, I don't know what brand the powder is.

Adding low washer fluid warning to an MJ
schardein replied to Anthi4078's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I added the sensor to my 91, put a bulb & bulb holder in the instrument cluster and it worked. Later I switched to the 97-01 reservoir inside the driver fender (per Hornbrod's writeup, IIRC) and extended my harness to reach. -

My 91 Sportruck had the flag mirrors as well. Driver and passenger, however the pass side was a slightly different design, that I didn't really pick up on until I had them off and comparing them. The driver side was mounted with machine screws that went into a plate that was pop riveted to the inside of the door. The pass side was held on with sheet metal screws. I think the pass side was dealer or owner added.

85 Cherokee 2 door
schardein replied to Smokeyyank's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
That's a rare rig in mint condition. Not necessarily the best choice for a daily driver, but super cool nonetheless. -
Seems likely. Most of the clusters I've had the opportunity to look at had the "full time" light, even if they weren't equipped with the 242 (this one has a "4WD" light). But this is the first one I've noticed the diesel stuff on. Makes me curious when that was phased out. The Wagoneer had the 2.8 V6.

I used to own an 89 XJ Wagoneer. It was missing the chrome overlay above the rear license plate when I got it. It took me a couple years to find one, in the age before internet. Decades later, this is only the second one I've managed to find. I no longer have the XJ Waggy, but it's a cool find anyway.

Bringing this thread back. I recently pulled some stuff from a 1985 XJ Wagoneer. Here is the dash clock. Standard Quartz clock for the year, but I noticed on the back that it is held together with metal retaining rings versus the small plastic welds. I never noticed this before, and checked my collection and sure enough a couple others have it as well. Another one I have marked as a 1987 has the plastic welds. Also, the heater blower switch connector is different than later versions. I didn't know there was more than one version.

Poll about decals.

It already has 4x4 emblems that are tasteful and OEM. No to the 4x4 graphics. -
When I first looked at it, it looked like a D44 to me. But now I don't think it is. If it was a 44, it would be worth the drive. The rest of those parts are probably only worth the drive if you happen to personally need them.

Holy cow! A D44 just sitting there waiting on a new home. This is a joke, right?

I dealt with a tow yard after my K5 Blazer was towed from a bar in Fredericksburg VA. The bar closed at 1 am, the parking lot had a small sign saying it had to be vacated by midnight. I walked out at 1230am to find my truck gone, had no idea about the sign until then. I got my truck back, but those impound lot people are the scum of the earth.
