  1. I always enjoy looking at your thread, the blue is such a nice color. The background is spectacular!! I drool at those pictures since I live in flatland Michigan. One can only stare at water for so long.
  2. I will do that, I'll let you know by Tuesday or Wednesday thanks!
  3. My gauges are off and I was wondering if anyone has any tips of what could be the problem. "87 Comanche 4.0L "well 4.7 actually" auto 4x4 My oil pressure gauge is about 20psi low My volts is low, around 2V below what is measured at the battery I don't know if the fuel is low because when the light comes on I fill it up and it goes from empty to full without problem Tach works fine but I have no way to test against the gauge. Spedometer seems accurate, but I haven't used the GPS to verify "probably should" What could cause the first two to be much lower than normal? The oil pressure sender is original but I can't see why it would go bad. I don't know what picks up the voltage.
  4. I have some leftover parts I just can't seem to determine if I want to sell. 40k mile '87 renix 4.0L 40k mile BA10/5 2wd 5 speed Complete AW4 with 231J from another Cherokee 87ish I also have a 23 spline 231 that I would like to use instead of the 21 spline AW4/242 combo from a '90 currently. I would need a newer AW4 to use it though. I am stuck in a parts war since my stroker motor is in. What should I do?
  5. Yeah they suck I will agree 100%, and I have removed mine (242 as well) AND the aw-4 AND the engine quite a few times. Maybe if someone was smart they would have made a seperate crossmember to hold the trans in place. I have better luck removing the trans with the transfer case and then seperating them.
  6. I haven't had much problems except it is VERY SLOW! I click on the img box about 10 times until it highlights the box yellow and copies the link code. The stupid ads slow the website down considerably. I would love to use Picasa, but as far as I know I can't get the img codes. I have searched online and my picasa doesn't work like what's online. Picasa doesn't have any ads (yet) but it won't work for me so far.
  7. My wife spent 7 hours in paint shop and made a shirt for me. http://www.zazzle.com/comanche_3_shirts-235184819111923814 The picture is bigger on the shirt that I have.
  8. I took a new Cherokee for a drive last week. I was very impressed. I chose one with the baby Pentastar V6, they didn't have a trailhawk with the V6 on the lot. The stereo system was worse than poor, if you are considering one get the upgraded audio. It handled excellent in the snow and slush, the new abs brakes and all the electronics really doing their thing nicely. The rear seat has a TON more room than our old XJ's but the rear hatch cargo has gone down quite a bit since the rear end is so rounded. I did notice that the spare tire well is HUGE!!! I would love to put a nice 15" sub in there!!! I have a XJ, a WK and an MJ, to this Jeeper I approve.
  9. Hard braking to the left could mean you have a bad right front caliper or colapsed brake hose.
  10. I really like that bed and the nice letters on the tailgate.
  11. I appreciate all the help, thank you!
  12. Man I love those wheels!!!!! What kind are they? MJ bolt pattern?

    Back, To Stay

That sounds encouraging, I too have fell into a rut since my Jeep hasn't treated me well since the whole motor debacle. It's good to hear you are doing well and came to your senses, I just hope a similar situation happens with my deflated feelings about my Comanche.
  14. The stickers are grey, the same ones that are in my profile picture.
  15. I have a set of the SporTruck stickers new in box that I ordered from Jeep sticker. If you want it PM me and I can sell it to you. I decided not to put mine back on.
  16. I have the Renix system, so the Hesco adjustable fuel pressure regulator doesn't use vacuum anymore so you just set the fuel pressure and leave it. That doesn't really make sense to me since the engine would need more fuel when revs/load increases. It just can't seem to be adjusted purely by injector pulse width. I hope I don't have the lines on backwards, supply to return or I'm missing something? As for the check valve that's a great idea, I'll check out that link thanks.
  17. Ya know I realized that the track bar and mounting points need to be REALLY strong when lifting with that type of long arm kit. I'm sure it will ride a lot nicer with that setup.
  18. No I don't Don, I would love to buy the FSM's for the trans and electrical and mechanical stuff. I just haven't found them yet. Thanks for the info!
  19. My renix stroker is not keeping fuel pressure to the rail. It's a '87 Renix system with a '95 fuel rail with return and a Hesco adjustable FPR. When I shut the engine off the fuel pressure drops to Zero. I have these questions: Do I need to buy a new fuel pump? Is the check valve in the pump? How does the new Hesco adjustable FPR allow more fuel to the engine without the pressure increasing like the old vacuum one did? The last one really has me stumped.
  20. I may have this problem myself!! The donor I bought had the both the TPS sensor plugs cut off and new ones soldered on. The transmission plug was cut off and replaced too. I may have the wrong TCU for my trans. It won't go into OD or the torque converter will not lock up and the thing idles sky high. No power is right, it seems like the trans is taking all the power from the engine. The new stroker I am NOT impressed with could very well be a trans problem. I will do some research myself, one question. How do you tell what year your trans is and what TCU to use for it? I have a spare trans and transfer case in my shed I could reference also. Thanks!!
