I think your truck looks great as-is. I love the type of camo and the retro wheels. Rob

Almost bittersweet with the Typhoon and an MJ. The Typhoon was the only thing at the time that could knock the MJ's land speed record off the pedestal, albeit with a lot of help from Banks IIRC. Rob

Saw it. I think that MJ is the one that was listed on a FL CL not too long ago. I emailed to verify it was an '87, which it is. Little rich... I would think that's a $3000 truck. The emblem positions make me question some body work though. Better question is, I already have one, so who's buying this one? Rob

:agree: If that isn't the case though, post up or pm me what you do have, I'll tell you what's missing. Rob

Another '99 2dr...the official DD

Or you can mount it up differently. Rather that putting the spring and cone behind the wheel and using the clamp and plastic hub spacer, you can ditch the spring on the back take off the spacer, and put the cone in from the front, and drive it tight with the clamp. I do this all the time. My coworker, however, doesn't. I would have had them pay for it. New paint or not, they shouldn't be damaging wheels. Rob -
Lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, of gobs of hot glue. I didn't do it, I am almost ashamed to post pics... If you still want one I can shoot it your way. Rob

*** COMANCHE CLUB shirts/hoodies order for 2011 ***
Automan2164 replied to 87Warrior's topic in The Pub
All along I said right chest and didn't hear any concerns. Just asking. I wasn't in on the order, and just noticed it. All good in the hood. Rob  -
Well, that's another reason I was thinking about a bench seat. I have a lady friend who has two small dogs, and there's no way she's letting them ride in the bed. Well if she likes them so much... The bed ain't just for dogs... Just sayin'. :D Rob

Did they put the chest logo on the wrong side? Rob :dunno: -
I've always been a fan of the bench. If you get one that's not all worn out, they are super comfortable, to me anyway. I especially like tossing.g the ol' arm up across the back while cruising down the road. Headrests are a must, so look for a '90 and up MJ. Unless you like your head smashing through some glass in a rear fender bender. Rob

Not a bad Christmas this year. I found some shirts/jacket that I liked on eBay so the GF picked them up for me. I got 2 long sleeve uniform shirts, 2 short sleeves, an AMC Mechanic jacket, and a lot of little stuff. Angela's Dad and step Mom got her, her brother, and myself all Nerf guns since we live together, and I have already taken out the air restrictors, did a barrel modification, and played with the shooting spring... Muhahahaha. I also got a little something from Angela's brother. He picked up an R/C crawler over the summer we were playing with until it broke. He took it apart to clean it up, and change a few parts, but kinda lost motivation once he realized he had to put it all back together... I had shown interest in it, and you would never guess what was under the tree. It still needs some work (well a whole crap ton of it actually), but with some parts and a little time, I should have it back to it's former glory in no time. Former glory: Angela also got to finally see the stall name tag I made for her horse (Austin) out of shoes: So much good stuff! Rob

Got both of mine yesterday Ben! It was a big surprise as I wasn't expecting it until next week sometime. I wanted to wait until today to open them, but opened them in the car with Angela and Chris as we were headed to their Dad's house for dinner. They all look great. I did notice some of the pixelation that someone else had mentioned, but I believe that is more of a demon of the process as you had to use a different company this time. So pumped! Part of me wishes that we had a pocket calendar so I could always have one with and show it off to any who are dumb enough to ask! Rob

Worth the risk? (can anyone check out an MJ in Bozeman, MT?)
Automan2164 replied to DurtySpeed's topic in The Pub
Welcome to the club. We have a pretty helpful group of guys het, maybe someone is close enough to take a look at it for you. I ended up borrowing a truck and trailer and driving 2000+ miles and picking up an MJ without seeing it in person. I know how you feel. I just convinced the girlfriend that we were going on vacation to Virginia beach. If it was your wife's dads, maybe you can turn it into a family thing. We can help you in any way we can. Have you checked u-ship.com? Rob -
:dunno: Never heard that before. Maybe a WWII thing? Perhaps Jim can tell us. It's a line from one of the greatest movies ever made: C0RZNIFZxoY Rob

You give up and get frustrated too easily. You need the last registered owner (the name and addy I got for you) to fill out the paperwork for a lost title. Explain the situation again. You know he has no paperwork, he gave it to you, and you lost it. Explain the only way you can register it is with his help. Tell him you would offer to pay for the paperwork (of course), and maybe a little something for the trouble. Then when he gets the new title, pick it up, sign it, and take it to the IL DMV. It will be like you just bought it all over again, and will go through smooth as butter. Easy peasy Japanesy. Rob
-
Why did they deny you? Didn't you have the PO apply for a lost title, and then try to transfer it? Rob

I can honestly say I don't remember much of my 21st birthday. I had just bought my house the week before, and was already in a great mood. To top it off, a guy at work had a summer party on my birthday by chance. His party was on his farm and pretty huge, not to mention the puddle jumper airport down the way had their fliers and tires festival with an '80's rock band going. Coworkers egging me on combined with my lack of regular drinking made for a rough next couple days. Make it a good one, you only turn 21 once. Be safe, have a good time. Rob

you ever get that system working? Not yet. That truck is still a shell in the garage. :( Rob

Doesn't happen to have the fluid sentinel does it? Rob
-
BJ, Whats wrong with it? Shame to tear that thing apart. Rob
-
Ben, PM me your addy, so I can send you my payment. Rob

The more and more I think about it, the more and more I think I should invest in one of these: How BA would one of those be with a cutting wheel in a JY? Buh-bye steel. That thing would kick some serious arse. I think it would do all a sawzall could and more. Get a lithium ion one that charges in 15 minutes, and toss an inverter and the charger in your car. Go loaded up with some good batteries, and know that another go-round is only 15 minutes away in the Jeep. Rob

Troy, hit up LKQ. They have an '88 sitting there that has the box side hardware you need... Last time I was there. Rob

No harm meant. You put emphasis on part of your question, I put emphasis on part of my reply. Pat hit the nail on the head. I've battled with people to much to sugar coat it anymore. Won't happen. Well, it will, if you either have deep pockets and a hole in the wallet, or you have a little Jim Oshel in ya, and do it just because you want to. Rob
