  1. 'Tis what I was assuming, but that was just a member talking about his new bumper, rather than selling one. Rob
  2. I moved Ben's bumper thread into the pub for some exposure. He only got one reply in the For Sale section, and I didn't think that was right. Ben's been working pretty hard on these behind closed doors, and just wanted to get him his due respect. Which is the other bumper for sale? Rob
  3. Valve cover, oil pan, rear main, timing cover... Until we get more details, could be anything. Rob
  4. In this case, she's the one with the MJ. He would have had to ask her permission. Rob :D
  5. I'd be down with helping, but the question is, what do we need to do? Was hoping he might stick his head in after the talk with Jim. Rob
  6. For those MJ nutjob or with those who desire to look up your own parts: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-1993-Jeep- ... 5ae2031de2 I have one of these for my HO MJ references, and it's great. Rob
  7. Might be the first Club member to member marriage? Unless Correy's wife had an account... Either way, Congrats on the news guys. Let me know if there is anything Angela and I can do to help. Rob
  8. Well, good to hear he's alive, but wish he was doing better. Thanks Jim. Rob
  9. Been so long since he's been on, anyone local who might know if he's ok? Rob :dunno:
  10. I hate you so much. I was the other guy on the line for that XJ. :fs2: Rob :D
  11. Some kind of old school payment system that the Indians used to use, I think. Rob

    huh

I would think that something like that should be caught by any porter or entry level tech while doing a new car pre-delivery inspection. Rob
  13. This month, we have a fantastic truck, and a great build. Spent the night fixing it with makeshift parts only to catch up with the group the next day and break the other side on the first obstacle. After swapping out u-joints the rig was unstoppable. What owner loves best about CC The members! Since starting the build we’ve met tons of Comanche fans that track us down at shows to see Project MJ in person. First off, thank you for the recognition. We did have the distinct advantage of doing this build on company time and money (while getting paid to do it) but all of us involved are enthusiast and really took this build as our own. Lots of long hours and late nights that is for sure. This is one sweet truck. Not only did you pick a Comanche for your show truck, but you did it right too. All the time and money invested really shows. The truck was a performer in the Ultimate Adventure, even if you did have a little setback here and there. What is really important though, is the way you guys kept everyone here in the loop. We've had it before where someone does something with an MJ, and when we try to say thanks, or how did you do that, we get a cold shoulder. You guys started a build thread here, kept us up to date on all the milestones, and answered questions all the way though. It's the dedication to the people that I really like. I don't know too many other companies who would keep up with a small niche forum in the middle of a super-build on a short time frame. It's been a long time coming that you and your truck would be here, and we couldn't think of a better way to kick off the new year. Thanks guys, from all of us on CC. Rob
  14. Wouldn't have seen the hairstylist. With your mad fab skills, I was picturing a trade... Rob
  15. Once you drop the tank, bolts, and any hardware/wiring, it should lift right off with 2 dudes. Done it many a time. Rob
  16. Including owners! Buuuuut, I am just as bad. Rob :peek:
  17. nope someone on craigs list and it was only a few blocks from me. why do you ask? There was a set of them on eBay not that long ago, same year. Went for 9.99. I was going to bid, but forgot. For $10, I couldn't have went wrong. My best manual score was at a local junkyard, found a '91 FSM in the back seat of an XJ. Took it up front, asked how much he wanted. He looked at it, said "Big @$$ owners manual? $2.50.". I kept my mouth shut and paid the man. Far from me to be the one to tell him he's wrong. Rob :D
  18. You get those manuals on eBay? Rob
  19. Major: Don't make them anymore, Extended Cab Minor: Black interior, hidden winch, electric lockers. All of this should be factory. Rob :dunno:
  20. Make something that goes into the receiver. Use some square stock and a piece of plate, weld them together, and screw the plate to that. Get one of those cheap tag lights, and wire it to a trailer wire connector. When you don't have a trailer, use a bolt to bolt the plate bracket into the receiver and plug the light into your trailer harness. When you are ready to tow a trailer, pull the works out. Won't need the plate with a trailer on anyway. Rob
  21. Keep me posted of you decide to ditch the brushguard and the lights on it. I have a factory hidden winch and bumper that originally came with a factory brushguard like yours. My brushguard is missing though. Rob
  22. Where are you located? Rob
  23. Some '87 Models also as a spillover option... Rob
  24. In the early to late '90's, the Cherokee held such a choke-hold on the market, why mess with almost perfection. MJ on the other hand, was a black eye every time one went by on the line, because it was one less XJ made... Not a good perspective, but no use crying over spilled milk. Rob
  25. A known problem is the flex plate bolts backing out. Usually makes a huge racket, sounds like the motor will grenade... As Jim said, drop the inspection cover. I bet you will find your answer. Rob
