  1. Read my mind. Rob
  2. Yet another fine rule when living in IL. You can't mix numbers and letters. Have to have a space in between. Can only have 7 digits including spaces. Sorry for the hijack Marcel. I'll keep to myself. Rob :peek:
  3. Very surprised that you didn't come back with it... Feeling alright Jim? Rob
  4. I take a ride on one of them every time I go to the Chicago auto show just to say I did. The Camp Jeep was out by the Twin cities when I went up to visit Ben, and I checked out that while I was there. You actually got to drive at the camp Jeep one. The auto show you are just a passenger. It's more fun at the auto show because people ride just to go up the big hill, and if you get a good group of girls, you can hear some good screams and hollers. I miss the Dodge/Chrysler one... When the Charger came out, they would race them up to 60 in the building, and slam on the brakes... Now that was fun indoors. Rob
  5. Lucky. I would go with the first one. Rob
  6. Either is good... But is one cheaper? In IL, they gouge you because once you have a plate with no numbers, it goes from "Personalized" to "Vanity". Vanity gets pricey. Ask me how I know. Rob
  7. I've never seen or heard of one in stock form... Rob
  8. Someone used a 'Yota rack... Looks durn good. Rob
  9. Have any decent J20's taking up space? Haha. Rob
  10. A quick search of the long word will lead you to the thread where I originated the correction. Rob
  11. We had a member who was consistently too lazy to put the "h" in "what". After repeated attempts to get him to correct his action, I changed to auto correct to make him change. Yes, I know I could have just had it auto corrected to the correct spelling, but that wouldn't have made him learn. Spelling and basic grammar are great skills to hone, even if it takes the guiding hand of the Comanche Club. Rob
  12. Eddie is a good guy. He's based out of TX, and purchases old AMC stuff. I've been in contact with him for awhile. Very honest, and will help you in anyway he can. Unfortunately, even though he bought out a lot of old AMC dealers when everything changed over, he sold most of the AMC Jeep stuff first. Most of what he has pertains to the muscle cars. He sold off the Jeep stuff years ago because it was really of no interest to him. He still has some odds and ends, but only those shirts, and a scattering of odd parts. Rob
  13. If you subscribe to the thread, that's what it does. It sends you notification of activity on the thread... I don't know how the other sites do it. I know JF is the same thing and I believe that is vB. Rob :dunno:
  14. I get it. Thing is, I've gotten out of MJs once before... And sold off everything. Never again. The way I look at it now, if I see a part, or something I like, as long as I can afford it, I get it. I plan on having MJs for the rest of my life. I'm always going to need parts, extras, add ons, and cool options to keep things fresh. Racerbacks, roll bars, cargo lights... I may not use them now, but the important thing is, that when I do decide to put it on something, I will have the privilege of knowing I'm most likely sitting on whatever I need, or have a part that would be worth trading another MJer for what I want. It's sick really. Rob
  15. Time for some more pics, in the middle of cleaning still may finish up tomorrow. Until then, I have some pics. To those who did before, and those who are just seeing this thread, none of this is for sale. Don't PM me saying you want "X" This is just for sharing of nerdness. Big box of black interior trim. Black seats, dashes, center consoles... 2 of the most perfect grey leather XJ limited seats. Black vinyl bench, black cloth bench, and 2 factory longbed bed mats and tailgate mats. Box of cargo's, the sensors and the modules for the fluid sentinel... 4.10 D30/MJD44, LWB roll bar, SWB tank skid, brushguard. Factory Meyer Jeep plow off an MJ, Metric ton springs, 2wd springs, painted flares, black flares... Few domes(not even all of them) So many tail lights that I couldn't get them all in the shot, not to mention the ones on the desk, and the couch not pictured: Gauge clusters for the Farmer... Top is the one going in, middle is the one out of the donor, bottom is the one out of it. Notice anything about the one going in? (Will get a tach and lose the column shift) Box 'o' Emblems (Again, not all of them) Factory LWB topper, aftermarket LWB ladder rack: Hidden Winch: I will most likely have more pics as I continue cleaning, eventually getting to the stuff inside the house, as well as the literature... Yep, I am a nutcase. Rob
  16. Always worth another view. Wake up grandma, let the kids stay up late. If this doesn't make your socks go up and down nothing will. Rob

Apparently, after searching for a link for you, they went out of business... Good magazine too. Was more for the enthusiast than your "I have a Wrangler" crowd: Rob :(

  22. It is at this point that I would please ask that you find another truck. Rob Why? To leave it as is just simply convert to 4x4.........? A truck like that should be vacuum sealed as is. It's a time capsule and a piece of MJ history that should go on unmolested. Even just thinking about converting such a relic to 4x4 suggests that you might not be ready to own something so different. Just my opinion. Different strokes for different folks. Rob
