  1. Finally... Another missing piece of the puzzle, found in Germany: Couple gasket sets. Figured I would get 2 because that way, if I rip one, I don't have to wait another 3 weeks and pay additional international shipping from Germany. I think this is really the last of the things I was waiting to get my hands on. Once I get the garage re-situated, it's go time. Rob :brows:
  2. Chat room you mean? Yeah, I know some members who still stop in there from time to time. Rob

I guess the time couple years ago I was in a mall parking lot and a young kid around 4 years old pointed at my MJ and said look at the Monster truck mommy... he he it was funny What owner loves best about CC : I love that CC has a ton of great members and over the years I have enjoyed reading members stories and their MJ upgrades and enjoyed the pictures of others off road trips. and I like the information that's shared and how most everyone is "cool'. Also I had the chance to wheel with several members in the past but its been Years we need to get a CC outing in 2012 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Been awhile since we had us a down and dirty MJ. Yours is great. It may be overlooked by some, but It has a lot of parts that a lot of the guys here aspire to have. Not overbuilt, well thought out. Factory-ish axles, parts sourced from other rigs, all put together to just work. This is the type of MJ that is a great drive to new members dreaming of having a capable rig without totally breaking the bank. Congratulations on your MJOTM! Rob
  4. I look like some sort of weirdo because I grab handfuls of sporks every time I go to taco bell. They are the only ones who still have them. I load up and leave them in my toolbox at work. I always have what I need, be it soup or salad. It's the most versatile utensil. Rob :D
  5. Cans man. Soup, Chili, Gumbo... If it's in a can, and will slop out into my bowl at work, I have it. Super simple, never goes bad within reason, and cheap. Rob

    my MJ ......

Well you just sucked the fun right out of that. Should have quoted the original. Rob

  8. I've always loved the idea of putting the intake in the cowl ever since I first saw it. It looks great, keeps it high and dry, and lets face it... If you have water all the way up there, you most likely have other problems. Rob
  9. Wouldn't change the reliability or the value at all, if any. The only value you would get from the swap would be the value gained by having 4x4. You would get a few more ponies out of it being an HO, but you would also lose some MPG's. Renix engines run a bit leaner than HO's. I would say that if you want to keep it, restore it like you want to, make it 4x4, keep the Renix. Rob
  10. Had a black fridge already. Plus, I like the look of some sleek black appliances best. Counter is cluttered because of the activities. Looking forward to putting that center burner in action. Going to be a lot more cook/work space for all my pots and pans once I get stews/soups going. Rob
  11. My wallet is feeling pretty empty right now, so feel free to overflow into mine. I finally got fed up with my appliances, and this just happened about an hour ago. Rob
  12. Where is it in ground hog day? Rob
  13. googled "pvc rollbar" and this was the first video that popped up see what kind of truck he drives  it is of course not a roll bar, but not a terrible looking light, cb antenna, air horn, whatever else was on clearance at autozone bar. That guy!? Haha. He's been worth a good laugh on here before... Here is the video I remembered, as soon as I saw the color/stripes on the rollbar vid. WBDDAjU3AQ8 Rob :rotf:
  14. Bing! Yes. Tom knows his springs, is a great guy, but he's stuck with Rough Country for everything else. Rob
  15. Then it's sorry Charlie right back at 'cha. We can't make an educated decision if we aren't presented with the right information. For all we know, you are buying Waggy D44's, which normally come with some bring the suck gears, and will be $500-ish per axle to regear. Either take the steps and ask the questions of the seller, or you are going to end up with some huge paperweights. What is your end goal with your truck anyway that you need axles so big? Rob
  16. Yeah, the rest of the vehicle they came out of. Rob
  17. "You don't say much friend, but when you do it's to the point and I salute you for it." Rob
  18. Get what you pay for. If you want to go cheap, expect an incomplete, rough riding, half thought out piece of crap. I am in the do it right, or don't do it at all camp. Plus, you can cobble together a pretty mean 3" that will take you anywhere a discount junk 4.5" will take you anyway. Rob
  19. Not to burst your bubble there, but why would someone want to buy the problematic 0331 head? Rob
  20. Nope, my biggest hurdle is the body work, and it seems I only get the chance to mess around with it is in the winter. It is patiently waiting for me to grow the balls to start the body work... It's not going anywhere. Something this rust free just doesn't get sold. Rob
  21. Quadratec sells them pretty cheap, around $80 new for what it's worth. Rob
  22. Ben, figured since it's going on this truck, I would post this here, so you and others can reference it. The upper part of the column: The column that uses the little bolt and needle (It refers to it as "Less tilt wheel"): The column that the indicator is off of (It refers to it as "With tilt wheel"): Close up of the indicator of your style: It looks as if you needed the whole collar, or "Shift bowl shroud", clip, and bracket in order to make it work as factory... Basically, in order to use that you are either on your own, or you need to get a like column to use it with. Rob
