  1. Usually a water can gets pressurized up to 100 PSI. While that is the nominal PSI for charge, you can half squeeze the trigger for a weaker flow. Rob L.
  2. Maybe we can all go crash at Ricks place until we get the comanche nation kicked off. Rob L.
  3. I had a CL guy on here do the same... He was selling a cap on CL, for a longbed MJ, I asked about the truck, and it happened to be an '87 LWB 4x4 Metric Ton with factory plow. I asked how much he wanted, he sent back 12000. Thinking he misplaced a period or something I wrote back, and asked the same, to which he replied, sorry, $12,000. Good luck with that. Rob L.
  4. Are those custom built? If not where can i get some! IIRC He made them out of XJ tail guards... Rob L.
  5. So far Jake and Pat, anyone else? Rob L.
  6. Someone has got to ask for pics... Rob L.

  9. Why no jeep axles? Rob L.
  10. Dana 44 out of an MJ. Rob L.
  11. It is a fire extinguisher. Its a water can. It just uses compressed air over water for a charge. I would reccommend everyone have one in their garage when working on a truck. Very convienient, free to recharge, and damn effective. Plus, it makes a good tool to power flush a heater core in a pinch. ;) Rob L.
  12. :agree: While I don't know your cash situation, I would say part out the three, and save to buy one good one. Might be time to cut your losses. Rob L.
  13. To further expand on the MPI/TBI: Multi Port Fuel injection uses ONE INJECTOR per CYLINDER. IE, a 6 cyl, will have 6 injectors on a MPFI car. Throttle Body injection is just that. One injector, located in the throttle body. Rob L. :D
  14. Only about $100 around here... Things have gotten so cheap, and parts are so readily available, that rebuilding has almost gone the way of the dinosaurs. Rob L.
  15. For $150... That can't be beat. Do you know the make of the lift? Rob L.
  16. What about some straight diesel? Makes a decent solvent, and the flashpoint is high enough that the wood stove would be almost a non issue. Rob L.
  17. For a cheaper, better bed mat, go to you local farm and fleet or tractor supply, and buy a horse mat. Usually VERY thick, and cheap. Cut to fit. Rob L.
  18. SWEET! That'd be awesome Brent, and with you coming this way anyway for the winch, might just work out great. Rob L.

    Thieves

Did you have a removable face plate? A friend of mine in tech school really had an ingenious way of deterring thieves. He had a Turbo Plymouth Sundance he turned into a sleeper, and had a really nice stereo. He took the stock radio, tore it apart, and took the factory face off. He glued all the buttons in place, and make it fit onto the head unit after removing the faceplate. Threw the faceplate in the glove box, and called it done. That way, if someone looked in, all they saw was the cheapo factory radio that wasn't worth the time. Rob L. :D
  21. I got into the first one in my signature when I was 15. I told my mom I wanted a comanche, and we looked at an '89 Pioneer 4.0L AW4 231, but it was beyond rusty, and had a bad heater core... Thats when on the way back from a drive I found my first MJ. I bought it from the original owner, a 1986 Base, with absolutely NO options. Originally came with an AM radio. Notice the no mention of FM? It was a 2.5L AX4, D35. He got it new in '85, and fell in love with it. When I found it, it was worse for wear. During his ownership he changed some stuff, like putting on AR rims, A sunroof to fix some hail damage, and a cassette deck. It had an aluminum ladder rack style camper shell, and a big truckers bug deflector as tall as the sears tower on the front. It said "James Shook Big Game Hunter" on the bug guard. When I met the guy, I didn't even have my learners permit, and this was my first dealing in cars... I would have walked on it now, but at the time, I had less patience. It had 114K on it, and ran great, but very rusty. Brake were shot, and needed work. Worth $500 at most to me now, but I ended up paying $1000. The guy was definitely a character, and had a lazy eye... Couldn't quite track it down... One was staring at you, the other was scoping out low flying aircraft. I ended up picking up the truck in a storm, with a friends mom at the wheel, since I still couldn't drive. I got it home, and with the help of a retired aircraft mechanic neighbor had it on the road once again by the time I got my license. Great truck, it started the sickness. After having it for awhile I ditched the cap, found a racerback, and used it while I was building my other MJ's. Eventually, being over-run by MJ's, I had to thin the fleet. It had sat for awhile, and the slave went out. Ended up selling it on ebay, for $125. Should have found the room to keep it. I miss the ol' girl. :( Here is a pic of it, sitting in front of one of my other projects... Notice the plate? :brows: Probably in the big junkyard in the sky by now. Rob L.
  22. Looking for a couple 30X9.5 R15 Goodyear Wrangler GSA's in good condition for my DD ZJ... I got some tires from Jakeman, but need another two to complete the set. Located on the WI/IL border, will travel reasonable distances. Rob L.
