  1. sounds like a good find..... i don't drive mine in the snow (trying to keep my rust free status, so it stays indoors all winter) but i have started it at temps around 2 degrees, and it didnt want to start either, so i had to hold the gas pedal down a little bit while i cranked it, and after it fired up until it warmed up a little bit and would run on it's own....
  2. are you referring to the number of teeth on the gear? i'm not sure, i'm swapping from a 2.5/ax-4 w/225/75/15 tires to a 4.0/aw-4/np231 and 235/75/15 tires, so i need whatever gear will work with that combo....
  3. GM FWD wheels off the bigger bodied cars (lesabre, park ave, bonneville, etc.....) will work as well... i had 99 lesabre wheels lying around my garage and i slapped em on my parts pig cause i wanted the wheels from it... had to file the inside of the hub down a little bit on 2 of em so they would clear the rear hub, but they slipped on the front just fine...
  4. spring over axle will give you roughly 5in. of lift in the rear. i like the toyo open country a/t's, theyre a little pricey but well worth it.. mine currently has dunlops on it cause thats what came with the wheels i bought, but when they wear out i'll be replacing them with the toyo's ran your VIN thru a decoder.. this is what it comes up with..... Position Symbol Name Value 1 1 Country : USA 2 J Manufacturer: Jeep (USA) 3 7 Type: TRUCK 4 F GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating ) : 1819-2272 kg 5 J Model: Cherokee - 4WD 6 3 Series: PIONEER 7 6 Body type Comanche, 2-door pick-up 8 L Engine 4,0 litres, I-6 9 1 Control digit: Has passed check 10 K Year: 1989 11 L Plant: Toledo #1 12-17 545620 Serial number 545620 not sure about the paint code, what color is it? i believe autozone has touch up paint listed under the codes, they can look it up in their computer....
  5. i've always had good luck with LUK clutch sets... i think centerforce makes a dual friction clutch for the ax-5 as well..
  6. i've never seen one either, but if you find one let me know, i'd like one too.....
  7. anyone have one? or know where i can get one?
  8. good luck man, keep your head up, one of my very close friends had cf and eventually it became too much to bear for him... i wouldnt wish it on anyone :(
  9. we got maybe 1/2 an inch here, but for a while it was an absolute blizzard.. so i went out and had some fun with the 2wd sonoma :rotf:
  10. i use baldwin filters on all my stuff, i order em from fleetpride and they get delivered to my job
  11. pm sent!
  12. a 205 is a very stout t-case, but i don't think it will work in an mj without some kind of adapter to mate it to the jeep transmission....
  13. you don't have a ba10/5 in your truck, you've got a 2wd ax-5... pukegoats go behind the 4.0.. and yes the xmember should be the same
  14. depends on what you want to do.... if you want to swap out to an HO motor, you'll need a 91 or newer... i think 89 was the last year for the pukegoat, they switched midyear, so if you want to stay renix w/an ax-15 you'll need an 89-90.. i'm staying renix with mine cause i don't want to rebuild the entire truck, so i scored an 87 xj for a donor with the 4.0 and aw-4/np231 combo...
  15. looks ok, the only thing i don't like is how it tapers towards the bottom, you lose a bit of storage there....
  16. this is the only pic i have of the 2 of us together.... its an old one from before i cleaned the body up Image Not Found
  17. mjeff is right.... it doesn't have to have the sentry though, some just have a low washer fluid light in the panel with the brake, seatbelt and 4x4 lights...
  18. i heard about this a while ago, it sucks but such is life i guess.. harley says theyll be be making parts for them though, at least for now....
  19. congrats! like the format too, came out real nice
  20. yeah, there's supposed to be a spring there, mine are gone as well on both sides, i ended up using steel hose clamps and clamping the cables to the leaf spring
  21. Image Not Found Image Not Found these are the only two engine pics i have...
  22. noone makes a new sending unit for the mj.... you can either find one at a pick and pull yard or someone on here may have one they'd be willing to part with....
