Glad to see you made it back alive. I'll give you a call later.
  3. So my being forty makes me real old in this crowd huh?
  4. twist and pull while pulling from the top with some needlenose visegrips. that is how I have done it thlast five times(don't ask why I did it five times) in march.
  5. That spare, the graphite 5 spoke, looks like it is from a WJ which would be 5 x 5. won't fit a TJ,YJ,ZJ,MJ,XJ, or a CJ. Just a WJ and some Chevy stuff.
  6. Not to hi-jack, but I run those tires on my WJ, and they are real good and have good road manners.

  8. A buddy of mine found decals to replace all the stuff on a Jeep. You can go shaved and have the looks as well.
  9. See if you can work a deal with the auction guys and trade the title and $450 for the MJ they have. then you can have another great truck.
  10. Depending on what year I thought the temp sending unit was on the t-stat housing. I could be wrong.
  11. one with the greens is the fog light switch, one with the pinks is the cargo light over the bed. not sure about the other two.
  12. Hey Jeff!!! I know you have great pics of your springs cause I saw you take them when we did the swap. Cough them up. MJeff has some great shots that will show you everything you need.
  13. Great to hear you made it safe.
  14. Mjeff and I are near Richmond VA so we will keep a look out for you. I don't know if it would change the ride but you could come down through richmond and take 85 all the way in.
  15. Its all day Thur, Fri, And Sat. It has 17 different trails unless there is another added in the next month. There used to be 1 or 2 hard trails and now I think they have evolved into 4-5 hard trails and a bunch more intermediate trails. There are places to camp nearby and you could camp in the Geroge Washington National forest which is nearby if you like. There are also alot of fun things to do at Camp. Trail rides usually end up being at least one a day so you have time to enjoy the Camp and talk to the engineers and see and DRIVE the new model Jeeps before they hit the Showroom floor. Trail rides are in your vehicle and they new models are driven on a set course but it is still fun. Yes it is expensive, but they do have some good things going on. Tim McGraw is doing a concert for all those who attend to open the show and they usually have a big name do a show to close. Plus you can get Jeep stuff cheap like jeep brand t-shirts will end up being sold for like $1-$2. There is much more but you have to be there.
  16. Then drop by Bud light off at my house. we will kill a few in celebration.
  17. I just finished doing this and you either have to tap the holes for the crossmember to line up where it would fall on the tranny or you have to fab up a different offset plate to get it to line up. I had to do the offset plate. I will get pictures later today and post them.
  18. Whatever you want to call it this is how its listed in the parts list, 1 5500 8549 1 BEZEL, Shift, Truck it has a small dish and the place for the t-case shifter and thats it.
  19. I was talking about pulling the D35 from that MJ in the yard if it has stock 4.56's. That is worth some money but the yard will sell it has a regular axle.
  20. My reason for pointing out the need for the bezel is that if you do not have the bezel, a small one that will not crowd the tranny tunnel can be found in the column shift Auto XJ. That way in an already tight cab you could get away with let clutter right in front of the seat. And no I do not have a bezel yet. I have a solid bench seat without the notch and I would like to wait for the samll bezel so my kids have leg room.
  21. My 2.5, AW4 had 4.56's in it and it was an 88. If it has that axle its worth a good bit of money for you to pull it and sell it.
  22. This is what you need. Click me! Its a standalone brake system that plugs into an electronic brake control you mount under your dash. when you push your pedal in the MJ tow vehicle, the machine presses your brake pedal in the towed vehicle. It works EXTREMELY well. It can stop the towed vehicle by itself if needed, which is part of the design cause it has break-away protection for emergencies. But if you could afford this you might be able to afford a better tow vehicle.
  23. Not gettin.......you are old.......
  24. I just finished converting my 2WD MJ w/ 2.5 and AW4 to 4WD. I have no issues with the TJ np231 I am using as far a clearance goes. I finished it and 12 hours later it was in the woods. you will have to use the XJ interior linkage and then measure the linkage coming off the t-case to the pivot mounted on the tunnel. there are three sizes available and you need to measure. Also the interior plastic for the t-case shifter can be found but it is difficult. you need to find a column shift 4x4 XJ, maybe 85-89 range, and get the small bezel for the shifter. I am still looking for mine. Nevertheless, it can be done and you will create a great truck in the process.
