Or was that a couple of years later? Heard those turbo engines were really hot and easy to goose up for even more Zoom-Zoom! I'm too lazy to actually do research, buy yes I believe that mazda models with speed in them were turbo, or at least the miatas were.

Can confirm I had a friend with an 85 (first year of efi i think) that thing as a blast.

At some point my mj was repainted from a nice red color to a fugly orange so my badges are all over the place. Or missing in the case of the mj badges.

Fortunately there are not any fees like that here. Also i did ask them about it when it was registered ( which it not right now) and they said they'd fix obviously they never did :P all the vin numbers match so hopefully that's worth something if i ever get pulled over when it's back on the road. Ill see if i can find an old registration slip and post it.

So when I went to do the registration on my truck the other day. They asked if I wanted to renew the one on my MJ as well, I declined mostly due to the fact that the trans and t-case are in a shed right now :P but something I noticed back when first did it, and aging this time, is that in their system it shows up as a jeep commander instead of a Comanche, but my insurance has it listed as a Comanche, does anyone else have this issue or is it just me, it's never given me any problems, it's just something I noticed.

I was in the same boat as Minuit, I though is was factory too. cool truck, and 6000$ actually doesn't seem that bad especially compared to the brute conversions for the JK.

Are trucks that size rare in your part of the states?

anything from the seat forward will enter-change from 96 and down xj. 97 and up outer panels will fit but the dash won't without some work.

as long as it has 23 splines you should be good. I don't recall when the aw4 went from 21 to 23 splines... the input shaft length required is different for the ax15 and aw4, but I bolted mine on anyway and haven't had any issues. true, but now they wouldn't my 5.5 bolt pattern axle, though my replacement rims are the full-size ram version of turbines :)
