minor Ram charger update. the passenger door on the truck hasn't worked since day one, not the window, not the lock, it wouldn't even open. so I sat down with it today after school to fix it. turns out the electric solenoid for the lock seized up really good and prevented everything from moving, so I removed the rod connecting it to everything else and voila working door. the electric window is still not functioning, but that requires further testing, I probed the switch so I know it's getting power i'm wounding if maybe it too has seized.

Is it IFS or solid front axle on those things?

does the solar roof run the ac during the summer when the car's off? my boss told me that the later priuss do this?

Well since I can sleep. I figured that I'd give everyone an up date on the truck. With the warmer weather and a replacement (warranty) battery she's up and running again. I'm planning on getting a battery blanket to try and prevent this from happening again. Also bonus ferret update My sister recently got a cat so I've been slowly introducing it to the ferrets one at a time. They have proven to be the dominant pet >:) some time this week i plan on having all four of them in a room together so ill try to take a picture if they sit still long enough.

Winter was not kind to Rammy this week. we've had a pretty mild winter so far here in Edmonton. Worked ended a week ago so I had no resaon to drive anywhere then we got a cold snap. went to start the truck to go to work and ... nothing I think the cold damaged the battery, because I pulled an old one out of the shed and could barley get it to turn over. So now I'm off to thinker with it in hopes of getting it running.

It's easier to ask for forgiveness then for permission, or however that saying goes. Also i'm glad I live in a good part of town, because my greatest fear is someone breaking one of those big side windows :)

this first picture is a little old, it a pic of the day I finally got it running and driving, it was also the day I figured out what the problem was, turns out it was a 13$ rebuild kit for the dizzy consisting of a metal pin that hold the pick-up in place on the dizzy shaft. I have a more recent one, but it's file size is apparently too big, even for a separate post.

The truck has been good it need a fuel filter but I've been putting off because it's Canada cold out. also the ferrets are good, they are super soft now with their winter coats and a little cub :)

I'm very jealous, I had a 98 single cab with the 3.9 that I wanted to make faster, but it got really rusty really fast and I couldn't keep up with the fixing, but it was mechanically perfect.

I did daily mine for a bit, but I also had a corolla at the time, and I found myself in a position where if I knew it was going to be more then just me in the truck or if I had to pick some things up that I couldn't put in the bed. That I ended up taking the corolla more often that not.

is that sweeping gauge above the speedo number a tach, or is it a visual representation of the speed?

We haven't got any snow yet, but despite have these guys for about a year I only started actively walking them this spring and a little bit last fall. so they've never really seen that much of it.

as of today the truck is registered and insured, took it for a 70k joyride around town and it seem to be doing fine, also in other news the ferrets seem to be enjoying the cooler weather.

I will try to get a quick video of it.

IT LIVES, we got it all fixed up ish, it starts super good now, and you can put it in gear and drive it, where as before it would stall out the moment you put it in gear, I took it for a quick trip around the block, tomorrow we're going to set the timing and hopefully i'll be driving it for the rest of the winter. and for those wondering what the total cost it as it's currently about 190ish maybe a tad under though it needs wipers, so by the time it's done it will probably be the 210$ ramcharger.

I got it running tonight, i had to put in a new starter after frying the old one last night. Unfortunately it won't idle without minor throttle, also it stalls out immediately if you put it in gear even if your giving it gas. All things considered it seems like a healthy engine.

You get the odd person thinking that they are a weasel or mink/stoat. I also had a person freak out thinking they were rats.

Lots of on lookers, only a few weird looks though. Although because of how uncommon it is everyone wants to pet them. The big brown one is a total suck and loves all the attention he gets. The little balck and white one kind of case by case on weather or not she'll let you pet her and the white one on top is a jerk face and bites everyone so i have to hold her so she doesn't bit people.
