1984 Pontiac Firebird T/A
Wiggilez replied to Zenobian_84's topic in Member Projects: Other Cool Stuff
nice, I've never been much of a GM, but i'll always liked the 3rd gen trans am, mostly because of the headlights though... I mean come on v8 5 speed AND headlight that go up and down you can go wrong with that. -
MISCELLANEOUS ● This jeep was built in my tiny garage every night from stock 88, 5 speed truck to what it is now. I took a lot of time on the 99 conversion because i wanted it to look as factory as possbile. The hard work paid off when i took it out on my first trip in it. has custom flatdeck with 36" tire... that thing looks sweet, so does the blazer.

good luck with the tj, you post about it in the other project posts. also hopefully you won't regret selling it to much :p

Too Mainstream, I'm going to make some kind of fake supercharger whine noise this will give iy more street cred.

Slow and loud perfect :P haha. If i put in a dual exhaust then put a fart can on each, is that double the power or quadruple the power?

So somewhat recently i got rid of all my Toyotas and got this beast a 1982 ford granada (I'm on mobile right now, so you'll have to use your imagination) And then last night whilst surfing the web i came across this https://b-pro.ca/product/1987-toyota-corolla-levin-gt-z-135820-km/ And now I'm being temped. :/

maybe Photobucket was updating? -
My rear axle is a cryshler 9.25 out of a ram 1500. Those are pretty plentiful. Not too sure what the factory ratios are though as the previous owner put 4.10 in it.

I picked up the 5.0L I bought last weekend, here are some pics. loaded up in the truck, {URL=[/url] on route home. and last stop before home the car wash, because when I borrowed my dad's truck I was told Dad "Nic make sure you don't get my truck dirty/muddy" me "Yes dad." process to drive down muddy gravel roads, then the mud fest that was the guy's drive way completely covering the rear of the truck in mud. two more pics of the motor and not seen in the pictures is a freshly washed ranger. -
I've seen a few and almost bought one twice. Although one was a corolla wagon. But so far seems like it.
-
the 88-92 Camry and corollas also had this option, though only the wagons were selectable, the sedans were full time. edit: Honda had an awd option for the civic wagon, but I don;t know if it was selectable.

X2 How much heavier is it then the original bed? Are you using air bag to help with the extra weight, or do you have a custom spring setup? I'm sorry for all the questions, this is is just really cool.

It's currently an auto and will probably stay. I would like to get an AOD. But my c5 should work with the 5.0, I'd also like to get a limited slip rear end but well see. The 5.0 mostly likely won't happen till next summer as i want to finnish the MJ this summer. -

Literally no markings of any kind on the outside of it, but I saw something that looked like a jvc logo inside of it and that's the closest I've come to identifying it. -
Is this a factory spare carrier of some type?
Wiggilez replied to Jtrux's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it kinda looks like a floor brace that someone cut out then bolted to the inside of a bed.. -
that thing is slick, did you build it yourself?

I could understand the 4.6 being better stock for stock at stock. Especially at the high end as i believe the 4.6 has over head cams. I mostly want a v8 for cool factor, The 3.8 v6 gets me around town pretty decently. But steep hill are terrible. Also the 5.0 has the same bolt pattern as my 3.8 and can use my c4/5 trans. -

surprisingly clean, only surface rust and even then it's still not that bad. How do you like the 4.6L in your t-bird? have you ever driven anything comparable with a 5.0L -

in keeping with the name of this thread here's a little update, my fleet of car's has both dismissed and changed, after selling one of my corollas and scraping the other just before starting school, I sold my trusty but rusty Dakota back in January and a week later picked up this beast. and so far it's been my "reliable" daily. the plan was to keep it stock and just enjoy the land yacht that it is, but unfortunately that doesn't seem like the plan anymore, as i used it to clear out some unneeded car parts from my shed, this is the space they used to take, i'm hoping to have cleared out enough room for a 5.0L to replace the 3.8l that currently resided in the car.
