Crank positioning sensor . It's located on the transmission on the drivers side top . There are cut outs in the flywheel / flexplate that as the engine cranks the magnetic sensor moves and sends a signal to create spark . This is providing you don't have any cut/ broken wires/ switches

I've always wondered if you could take the xj sender and use the outer portion of the sender and combine it with the mj portion on the inside with compression fittings holding the steel lines . If you call spectra they will rebuild the one you have. I got a quote Of around 180 plus shipping both ways

If you go to a parts store in the motormite section you can buy a wiper transmission bushings kit and rebuild you're sloppy linkage and its under 10 bucks

I would use one out of an f250 around early 2000s and FYI the wiring is already inside the cab for that light . And the plug is located at the drivers side of the steering column behind the instrument bezel

The mount that bolts to firewall I believe would have to be modified and maybe the one that mounts under the dash also to my recolection most gm columns are gonna be column shift, is that what you have ?

The pic you posted looks like my alternator ( it's a delco remy ) and if I recall at the parts store I worked it's like 20 bucks more and they had it in stock
