Is This Right? Stuff Not Connected...
Strokermjcomanche replied to 91Pioneer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
And when you say "no ac " are you referring to it's not gettin colder ? Or the fact that the truck came with no ac . The picture for# 1 shows a no ac truck so I just wanted to be sure . -
Is This Right? Stuff Not Connected...

1. I believe the blue vacuum hose should go to the vacuum ball located behind the bumper on the passenger side.there should be another hose connecting the two.The heat/ ac selector is a cable located under the passenger side of the dash make sure it's hooked up . The two are not related but if you can't change to vent / defrost etc . The blue vacuum hose being unplugged is you culprit . 2. That's a plug for lowwasher fluid which is not used to my knowledge on Mjs but is used on xjs 3. That's is the optional under hood light plug . Being I don't see one on your truck it's good where it's at. -
It might be to 88 I'm having amnesia lol but 87 /88 is definitely a 203 base pad number

You need the 1st design . 2nd has the hub bearing and are later models . 203 should be in the brake pad number .

Thanks for the comments Hornbrod and Girsmj86 like how you kept the factory look Hornbrod . I wanna say looking through the instructions Mitsubishi is written / mentioned somewhere in there. I'll have to double-check

Well I got the flares back home . Gotta better look at them minor chips scratches but no major damage . They were held on with it seems like 100 self tapping screws !! as the original pic showed it has no gas door and they have the typical fiberglass "waves". any other questions I will be happy to answer

So I Had A Thought For A Engine Swap
Strokermjcomanche replied to Zebvance's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not trying to down anyones ideas . The gn motor with a different turbo will run 11s / 12s with very limited work there a v6 instead of a v8 so more clearance for the radiator etc . The op doesnt want a v8 and he wanted a turbo . I'm just responding to what he asked . I like ls motors and big blocks etc but when you're confined to a certain size sometimes it's bang for the buck . -
Replied your welcome

Sure do . Could I send it to your personal email? If so could you pm me thanks

Yes, that was one of the part numbers for the three models produced. Do you have any pics of it?

Vin is 1JFT36L7LL162731 the rear slider is broke ,tailgate is gone , the wing is pretty brittle I'll see if it comes off in one piece, interior is trashed, it's has 129 k on it , has a dana 35 axle the bumper ends are holding on by a thread (pieces missing ) and no spoiler in the bed . But yes the flares are here. The cab vents were bondoed over and it has a rear sway bar but not really held on very well with muffler clamps lol. Girs the rear bumper has a baseball size hole in it .

So I Had A Thought For A Engine Swap

There's no replacement for displacement . Do you consider a Subaru wrx motor a ricer? If so how about a grand national 3.8 turbo? -
I was lucky enough to find a rare nos cd player for my truck part# 82300393 sounds great . I converted one of my trucks to power windows and put tweeters in the holes where the cranks went through originally . The dash speakers are kinda tricky to install unless you have the bracketry. I went and bought my speakers on eBay 51/4 cerwin Vegas and 4x6 kickers

88 Cheif Throttle Body
Strokermjcomanche replied to 88-mj-petersen's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
As I'm am newer to the forum I'm not trying to stick my head out and get it chopped off . I'm not one to take sides . I will say that if I have a problem with my truck I don't wanna be bombarded with a bunch of "well you gotta rotate the air in the tires" kinda fixes . on the other hand I think carnucks trying to help . I see quite a bit of posts where I have no clue how to diagnose or make an edjucated decision so I say nothing . I do appreciate all the advice/ help though . Sorry for blabbering on your post 88 mj petterson
