If you get a stinger, keep it small. They are a real pain to work around when you want to access something under the hood. After a few times of bumping into it you'll want to cut the darn thing off.

JB weld is what I used for a 3/4" hole the PO put in my roof.

When I was on those sites I found plenty of very beautiful women and lots of not so beautiful ones. I went on plenty of dates, lots of which were fun. :brows: Judging by today's pop culture beauty standards. Most "beautiful" women I met knew they were beautiful and thought the world owed them everything. They generally had less brains. They used texting acronyms in all their correspondence, said "Oh My God" to preface every sentence and generally got on my nerves at every turn. And, they might look nice but they generally stink in the bedroom. Too bad our culture makes girls feel bad about being a few pounds overweight. I'm not talking about the 400 lb razorbacks you see at Golden Corral. I'm talking about normal or just slightly curvy girls. Those were the ones that were the most "fun", you know, the fat girls you "uninformed daters" are bashing. Curvy girls do it like they mean it. If you haven't tried it, you should. :fool:

I've got one of their old MJ rear bumpers but these new ones look better in my opinion. On the plus side though, I can use mine as an air tank also.

I had pretty good luck on those dating sites. Those ads don't annoy me as much as the auto insurance commercials. They all claim to save money over the others, now my company USAA is doing it too. They all stink.

Options For Hood Vents From The Wreckers
Comanche County replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think a good tight fan clutch and a good unbroken shroud are key to cooling. If you've got AC, get a thermometer and ensure its coming on when it should. Should be at 220 degrees or when the AC is on. Then upgrade to a 10 blade Efan. if no AC, then add a 10 blade XJ fan, it'll help pull air through the rad. I think any hood vent will help with under hood air temps. Heat rises you know. But since there's higher air pressure on top of the hood when at speed, they may not let that much heat out. But they definitely work good at idling or crawling. I see heat pouring out of mine. The best hood option is probably a cowl hood. Just like the old cowl induction hoods from the 60s/70s, there's a very high pressure point at the base of the windshield and cool air is forced in. But if it's just a gap and the opening isn't sealed to the intake, then theoretically it would work at high speeds and at idle. Unfortunately cowl hoods for MJs are reserved only for the ultra rich. :)- 44 replies

These are still popular with the flatfender crowd too. Pinto swaps into old CJs were common back in the day.

Damn it, I've followed this forum far enough. Its time you proved your MJ's worth by robbing a bank or something like that. Jay

Np 231 Or Np 242 Transfer Case?

No Eagle, you're misrepresenting the way the Quadra-drive works. -
Np 231 Or Np 242 Transfer Case?
Comanche County replied to codymanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I know how a differential works because I watched this highly entertaining and instructive video. :rotf: I have one in my MJ. Bolted right in place of my old 231. They come with an SYE, but you'll need to either add a flange adapter to the front of your drive shaft or remove the flange and add a dana/spicer yoke to the back of the TC. You may need to shorten shorten or lengthen your drive shaft lengths. I don't remember how much, as I swapped in front and rear 44s at the same time. http://comancheclub.com/topic/22479-deep-in-the-heart-of-comanche-county/page__st__40 -
FYI, Wahoo officially has the coolest avatar in the club.

What Fluid Are You Using In Your Ax15 ?
Comanche County replied to Biotex's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I've been using 10W-30 in my AX15 for 4 years now. I've probably put 30K on it and it still shifts like new. IIRC, that's what Chrysler recommends for the AX15. -
Thankfully someone has a sense of humor.

Excellent, looks likes its only me and Jim takin on the "man", who else is joining the cause? Thank you Jim, You're a true hero!

http://wh.gov/yd1T They only gave me 800 characters, which cut my case short. Anyway, please sign the petition. If welfare babies can get 60K a year of free government assistance and free medical care, than you and I ought to be legally allowed to marry our MJs. We need a 100K signatures, then, you and I will produce real "hope and change" in this country. If you don't sign, then you must be a commie! Jay

Old is right.

That's a straight looking truck. $518 for the cassette player is a little steep.

I think its repairable. If the crumple zone in the inner fender is bent, it might be a pain to get the replacement panels aligned right.

Leaking Fuel Injectors
Comanche County replied to daltonmcgill7's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Leaky O ring aren't so bad. Seriously, a little engine fire never hurt a Jeep. It'll clean up the built up oily residue on the inner fender wells and firewall. Just ensure that when the fire starts, you have a proper extinguisher and let it go for a while to burn off any oily deposits. It'll be a lot easier than scrubbing the engine compartment. -
Its fine to use one of these....they're more accurate anyway. I also use my HF "click" type to disassemble parts all the time. I just accept that there is going to be a margin of error with torque wrenches unless you get one of the high dollar versions, then I'd be more careful. But if I spent the money for a precise torque wrench, I'd also have it calibrated yearly or so.

Its sad, I hope no one was injured.
