  1. replace whats broken and fill with coolant, check the oil and make sure there's no water in it and its not skipping. then run it
  2. can i get better pictures of the drop brackets? i've those sitting in the shop right now, waiting on more parts
  3. :chillin:
  4. IMHO it wouldn't be worth 50 bucks if it was at the house next door to me. :redX: got nothin goin for it. poor thing
  5. idk, we have 2 closed system jeeps and 3 open system jeeps, (cherokee's and manche's) all 4.0Ls and the two closed system jeeps have ALWAYS run cooler than the open system jeeps. not to mention how god awful it is to get an open system to drink coolant through the rad-cap. i see no difference between the two that warrants spending any money to upgrade, if we lived in the desert and were overheating constantly i could see upgrading all the stuff and trying to make her run as cool as possible to prevent disaster, but that's not the case from what i've seen just maintain what you've got and you'll have no problems. and ALMOST EVERY 4.0L will need a replacement radiator at some point. its just life.
  6. you rat bastard. that's the nicest one i've seen in a while! glad you joined up man! she got a good home at least. welcome to da'club. beer's in the fridge
  7. nah, he means like, go deeper or go home the stock 4.0-5speed combination used a 3.07 gear an upgrade to a 3.55 or 3.73 with the same size tire will give you more "umph" off the line and raise the rpm to a better range for power.

    Howdy!

straight 6 out of the TJ will drop straight in, you'll just need wiring skills, cause the harness may not fit completely like one from an XJ would. the basic motor never changed from 87-06 or whenever they dumped it.
  9. senior projects? we don't do that down here. it sounds cool though. kinda like an eagle project except those have to benefit the community
  10. Nor mine. ... nor mine?
  11. hopin for smooth sailing for ya man. get 'er crunk'd tomorrow ya hear? :brows:
  12. pretty sure mine is 2.25 all the way back (stock or replacement stock stuff) and yes smaller pipes will constrict some but i can't tell you for sure how much. if you're looking for optimum everything from what i can tell 2.5" is the best size for some backpressure but freeflowing
  13. haha, that sucks we did the same thing to the old XJ when it was on 33's go for the JCR 1-ton steering and don't look back man. its BEEFY the jeep is now on 35s and someone's coughcough(MY) bad spotting landed the full weight of the front end on the tie rod... bent up an inch and i had him back off the rock... and she straightened right back out. the JCR steering is a must have
  14. ooh ahh... prettty.

  16. nice jeep... but for 6 grand i definitely do NOT want to see offroading pictures in the ad.. are you nuts? i'm going to buy a 17 year old truck that's been abused offroad for 6,000 dollars? huh uh.
  17. same clutch and slave assembly will work just fine. same *stuff* different pile
  18. we use mainly factory parts at the shop i work at and 90% of the time the mopar, honda, acdelco you name it, 90% of the time they have NGK written on the side.
  19. :brows: fun huh?
  20. an entire swap won't be nearly as bad as a hackjob... and you'll want to shoot yourself 6months from now if you hack it to make it work. just get all the wiring from the donor if its easily available... it'll pay off in the long run
  21. theres the possibility its a 97... did you find and chrysler stars on it anywhere? and is there a hole in the head for the temp sender near the firewall?

    Tire Poll

your truck is nice, and you like chrome, and i would venture to guess yuo spent the money on nice tires. therefor you should run letters out, because your truck is nice and shiny and stuff... also keep the tires clean but don't shine them. a clean dull black is nice. on my truck letters in because a i've got junk tires that don't have white lettering (that i know of) and my truck is beat up and dull and would look akward on nice clean tires with lettering.
