Thanks for the help, I'm still scratching my head. It sounds like I will do the entire swap. I have 3 89 MJ's, I just want one good one :brows: my girlfriend of 8 years says I have a disease.

Just finished 4.0 renix swap replacing my 2.5L. Both jeeps are 89's can I splice into the original wiring to get the 4.0 operating or will i have to do a wiring swap out of donor rig? They are both the same year, if that helps. I HATE electrical.

I'm trying to swap a 89' 4.0L with a 92' AX15 + np231 INTO my 2WD 2.5L comanche. How do I deal with the wiring, fuel pump, slave cylinder, what clutch & flywheel. The 4.0 is sitting in my donor 2wd long bed, and the trany and t-case is out of a 92 cherokee. I know the general process but I don't want to miss anything when I do this. What should I watch for? I have a beat up donor 89 MJ with the 4.0L and I would like to swap the engine into my 89 shortbed with the 2.5L. Being the same years, what electrical will need to be changed? Your help would be great.... :bowdown:
