  1. i think you'll get it... my 89 passed first go-round. (But thats a honky-@$$ GA test not a up north inpection) all the same, ive got full confidence in yuor truck.
  2. so the pedal isnt catching with the ratchet assembly? so it just pushes down and the brake works but the pedal comes right back up? thats what it sounds like to me if I undestand correctly
  3. yeah, I'm planning on a full write up of my lift when it happens... should be about 6 months off how we're looking right now. its gonna include bastard packing, drop brackets, and all that good stuff. -nick
  4. i would imagine that its to wide to fit in front to back, but you might could put it in sideways and have it at an angle? just a thought.
  5. I'm not really looking for easiness, but ive always though front leafs are completely badass. and i think it'd be fun to do. but when i first lift it she'll prollly be running RE drop brackets for a while.
  6. theres a new one... aparently our newest member alazina has a website dealing with cialis.... uh yeah. somebody doesnt own a comanche. is there any way we can get one of those code scrambler things to secure the signup feature? i wouldnt mind paying dues and stuff to this site, i kinda do spend alot of time on here. :brows:
  7. it should have a NP231 t-case, you sure its a 207? and yeah, i too am a Manche FREAK now. took mine offroad a little today i was amazed at how much i could do limited to 2wd (front u-joints are just about to blow so i abstain from 4x4) blasted through some stuff that a bunch of chevys were strugglin with in 4 wheel... :D :D nothin better than showin up a chevy  ps.. welcome to the club!
  8. nice, id like to know how the hurculining goes, I'm interested in doing my floors but have absolutely NO clue how. and where do you buy POR15? does it come as roll-on or is it spray-can? graacias.
  9. possibly the inverted T, you're probly right. whatever it is he was looking to stay SUA but i think we're decided that longarms are a better option for him anywyas. BrettM talked to him over on NAXJA and said it wasnt worth it on a D30 anyways. but thanks for the input/help anyways guys! I'm still considering YJ front suspension on my MJ.
  10. now lets see it all put together! should look mighty clean.
  11. his steering geometry is actually pretty good, he's already got one-ton steering from JCRoffroad which changed it to where the tie'rod goes all the way from knuckle to knuckle and the draglink goes from the pitman arm to the knuckle. the track bar and draglink are just about level. and it steers perfectly fine. (already sitting at 6")
  12. yeah, the CPS in our jeeps has to have one complete cycle of the engine before itll fire. hence the longer start time than the 02.
  13. :brows: don't you love aluminum in your gearbox?
  14. :thwak: 'nuff said.
  15. woohhoo! one more MJ on the streets.
  16. 35" BFGs looking for 6 or so inches of lift. SUA so that we don't have to eff with highsteer
  17. the springs are pretty stiff, RE springs... i think ive got him convinced to go with YJ springs, but theres no way he's ditching his D30... brand new ARB locker with 4.88s and chromollys. we've got some fab work ahead... what size YJ spring would give an XJ 6"or so of lift? we're thinking SUA to retain his 1ton steering setup.
  18. well I'm gonna throw another BA10 in mine, cheaper, and the right spline count... no thinking, just swapping... i like the way they shift when they're good too, just gotta make sure and keep it full of oil. ill go AX eventually.
  19. bueno, looks good man. ...still want/love your truck btw.
  20. my brothers 4.0 AW4's front driveshaft is MUCH longer than my 4.0 BA10. i think it was off about 2-3 inches.
  21. i don't recall reading about him wanting to rebuild the BA10 but nobody on the forums would suggest that, i thought we were trying to get the truck moving as easily as possible. but most definately so, DO NOT WASTE THE MONEY REBUILDING IT.
  22. sounds alot like mine... VERY difficult to get into first or second, and just a PITA... reeks of gear oil inside the truck too. Pete, how long did it take yours to finally kaboom after the noisiness and difficulties started?
  23. the only time it should be difficult to get out of gear with the truck off is if its resting against the gears... cause the weight of the truck's keeping it in gear. it shouldnt need slave pressure to pull it out of gear on flat land.
  24. could you use an XJ rear lift spring to go SUA front lift we're thinking about using my brothers old 3.5" RE rear springs from his XJ for the front end SUA.... would that work?
  25. 5hrs?!?! what on earth for? and I'm proud to say that my jeep can idle that long too... cause 3 months ago it couldnt idle more than 2 minutes.
