  1. if you had vibe issues with your lift (which probably won't happen) and would most likely be a bad CV joint... you could always try a t-case drop before SYE.
  2. puegots have 21 spline cases.
  3. thats a 21 spline case, everythign should be fine at 130k miles... maybe check the axle seals, and replace all fluids... make sure the t-case has ATF not gear oil. the cutoff year was 1990 for 21 spline... everything after is 23

  9. hmmm, now that i think of it my brothers 90 XJ has ones by the feet. yours could have been factory.
  10. there is a difference in the spring perch widths. it CAN be bolted straight to your leaves but its definately NOT the kosher way to do it. though it has been done. XJ leaves are to short for the MJ best way to do it is to chop the perches off and re-weld new ones wherever you want them... SOA SUA wherever. EDIT: front axle is a direct bolt in.

  19. i have a 89 MJ with 130k on a 1997 4.0, i had problems with my stock injectors spraying one for the engine, two for the engine compartment. so i put in ford 19# injectors, i barely noticed a difference... maybe like 5hp but my idle seems fine. and not much smoke compared to other 4.0s have you checked the vacuum system for leaks, that affects idle... i had the crankcase vapor tube disconnect one time adn my idle jumped to damn 1700 steady.
  20. georgia huh? wherebouts? my brothers XJ is running a RE 4.5 inch with BFG35's and cutttttt fenders and if he wheels the fender slices up the tire. so definately about 7" to clear and wheel 36's pete's right... stock axles are NOT going to be happy with 36's and stock 35 SHOULD not run them period.

  22. whatre you asking here? 4.88s are gonna be WAY low for 31's and a 4.0, my brothers running (true)35's and a 4.0 with 4.88s and theyre a little deeper than stock. 4.10s wouldnt be that bad though. and true-tracs don't lock all the way just a lot of the way.
  23. good point. and its odd to read that US jeeps haev 10mm less wheelbase on one side than the other... on marcus' page at the bottom.
  24. the 242 really is amazing for icy conditions. make ABSOLUTELY SURE its running ATF and NOT gear oil. that will kill the case in a matter of months. and the splines should match. looks like you're set to go.
