  1. well it sounds like a pretty cool spot. I'm gonna go check out the website, talk to tim see if he's interested. we're kinda broke from all the work hes been doing on his and me just payin mine off... so real wheeling trips are few and far inbetween. actually on second thought... "You must be 18+ or accompanied by a parent while on the property. Parents must sign waiver forms before minors can enter park." probably won't happen until july 16th..
  2. well, it all depends. its got a good motor with a good transmission (unlike the early 5spd) straight body, no rust. but on the other hand its only got 107,000 mi in 14 years... sounds like it might have sat a little bit, and could have bad coolant hoses, and oil leaks. if it is as good as it sounds i would say 1700 is an acceptable range. around 2k i would start to expect things like a lift or new paint with nice tires and not much wrong with it if anything.
  3. i would imagine a ranger or dakota kit would be about the same size as well. but these were available in ext cabs and stuff so you'd have to check it out... i really don't know thats just my guess. welcome to da'club. -nick
  4. not sure what 3.4 liter the people around here have researched/swapped but i know the 3.4 is a prominent engine swap for the 2.8. as for the inline6 the later year 86s will have the extra clearance that is needed however the early year ones will not. so check first, the i6 might slide right in for you, it might not.... it was a mid-year switch
  5. sweeeet. me gusta.
  6. for a second i thoguht you were finishing the bed with wood paneling. then i realized it was cardboard  looks awesome.. cool truggy, and one of the nicest bedsections ive seen in a while too.
  7. went to the autoparts stores lookin for some decent lights to use as interior lights, (lost the ebay bidding) and ran across a NIIIIICE yellow MJ at advance yellow (mustang yellow kinda) with 97+front clip fenders, bumper, everything. wagon wheels painted black, stock height, 2wd, NO RUST, 2.5L, NICEST COMANCHE i have EVER seen in person. wow. and his buddy with him has another (both 1988s) with a chevy 350 in it. invited them into the club, real cool guys. said theyd check it out. hope theyve got pics, cause the one i saw was NICE.
  8. goootcha. i thought maybe it was unstable. then i wwas like 4.10 with 35s isnt a big deal! then i thought about the motor you've got. now i understand. just how difficult is gulches... i didnt see much that would challenge Tim's XJ. (brother) hes got 35's locked F&R 4.88s, winch, the works.
  9. how come the trucks not street-able?
  10. mmm...not to far off huh?

  18. # Read about this guy's problem with mice in his Jeep and the helpful answer that ultimately resulted:Mice Problem....Please Help!! Just this week I found a mouse crawling in my Jeep on the way to work. That night I set up traps, and got a mouse the next morning. I got another one the next night....and then two this morning! A total of four mice in three days! I have searched my Jeep for any obvious problems, entrances, or nests, but I have been unable to find anything. Is anyone aware of any problems with 97 Cherokees...or any Cherokee in general that would allow mice in my Jeep? I live in the northwoods without a garage, but I would like to believe that my Jeep would still be able to stay mouse free. Please write back with any help or suggestions. Several people responded that he should set traps, etc. but the ultimate answer came with this:"Replace your cat." Now how do you argue with that? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA i havent laughed tha thard in a while. hahah. wow.
  19. gotcha. measure horizontally to directly above the centerpin on the springs from the bolt. ill do it tomarrow after school.. to cold to right now.
  20. if you do get a new rad go with the 91+ but just keep all the hoses the same... the radiator cap makes life SO MUCH easier when doing coolant system work. (have done t-stat and waterpump on mine and my brothers jeeps and his is WAY easier to get filled back up because of the cap.)
  21. what measurement do you want... I'm not following you. we've got a perfectly stock height XJ in the drive though. lemme know and ill go check.
  22. welcome! see bout getting some stickers! looks like you got a cream of the crop MJ have to take lots of pics when you pick her up. ps. id check out the http://www.Rubiconexpress.com for the comanche. they make verrry solid jeep lifts... that kit will get you a lonnng ways.
  23. sounds just like my 89 4.0 rad. my brother has an aftermarket replacement rad in his 90 4.0 that has a rad cap, but it it still a closed system, does anyone know a better way to tell the two apart?
  24. i found these on ebay... interior BMW lights from an 88 525 look pretty close to stock but look alot brighter... PLEASE don't FIGHT ME! # 270053053000 what do yall think?
