  3. with a 2 bolt main? please explain. dunno what that means
  4. idk about different cuts or gears... but i know it is the only FULLY synchromesh jeep transmission in reverse as well as all forward gears. and they should be hellically cut right?
  5. yea, i thought about that when posting it... i wasnt sure so i figured id go with 01 just to be safe.
  6. yea i used the 200 somethin dollar 5-0 ones. dk, but HOs have MUCH cheaper injectors than us renix boys.
  7. 2001 cherokee, 2001+ wrangler. EDIT: keep in mind wrangler trannies might require a little bit of floorboard "massaging" but others have been a ble to shoe-horn it in without any mods. and the shifter will be odd-length. but i suppose you could cut/tap it or buy a cherokee one.
  8. hm. ive got a little lunchbox stuffed between the buckets... i can hold 5 drinks. :brows: and its got a removeable inside so i can clean it. :chillin:
  9. my connector rod fell off at some point and my junk stops... slowly, but it stops.
  10. well, 2wd comanches had just a straight axle... they still had CA's and coils... basically all bolt on's i beleive. hard part would be wether or not your tranny will mount to it if it is indeed the 2.8
  11. its alright.... my local jeep dealer didnt know what a cherokee was... i was like.. you know the boxy little SUV jeep made from 1984-2001, came in ALL different colors? had a 4.0 i6...ring a bell? "oh the little boxy one? thats the cherokee sport... all the others are the big rounder ones...but we still make those." uh... I'm leaving.. "want a card?" NO. I'm leaving.
  12. sounds exaclt like my mom's 95 XJ... except its a auto 2wd 4.0 with 198k on it and it leaks like a seive.
  13. just so I don't fubar my AX-4, I'll try with my buddy's old Frog F-150 5spd,. :rotf: I'm not effin up MY truck... lemme use yours!
  14. ive never heard of an 89 or 90 XJ having a D44 i thought it was a 87-88 option... the one i pulled is an 87, the one my brother got is an 88
  15. that does sound really really nice. I'm pretty sure I'm sold.
  16. the most complete lift KIT available is the RubiconExpress 5.5"MJ lift. which is the SOA kit. look at the components in that kit and you'll see what all is required. some of the stuff they do isnt necessary.. but all of it is a good idea. and just FYI.. i havent been able to peice together a kit comparable (even without alot of the things in the RE kit) for a price anywhere NEAR that price. i think i came out 200$ over their price (not including all the extra shipping it wouldve taken) and i had left a few items they include out entirely.
  17. you're really supposed to be rolling SLOWLY in nuetral wehn you shift into 4lo..
  18. sooo looks like 95 YJs are now under seige by me... or maybe ill just find a friend i know who has a 95 YJ and get him reeaaaal liquored up and swap shafts... :brows:
  19. you @$$, i bet thats the one i was gonna go strip  good thing you saved it. was it at the 'conley' pull-a-part?
  20. we hooked up the sanden pump in my bro's 90 XJ into OBA pretty simple, and it fills up a 35 from 12-35(?)psi in 1min 29 seconds. if i can ill see if he has any good pics of it.
  21. am i really gonna have to  here to... argh, both your jeeps are AWESOME
  22. i have now masterd the art of phoning, eating and shift/turning... things DO get strange if you need turn signals. :D suprised i havent been pulled over for weaving in the lane tryin to drive iwht my knee oh, and he was talkin bout 294thousand KM right? not miles? how many miles is that? (stupid metric system :redX: ) ... just kidding :Canadaflag: :USAflag:
  23. is that ANY 95 YJ shaft? or did the YJ have to have ABS? (or am i :chillin: and ABS had nothign to do with it  ) EDIT: hey pete... wth happened to the page before this? is it all messed up for yall too?
  24. yeah theres no way i would consider a full locker in the front without a disconnect axle. and i have a PT case not a 242... i won't be in 4x4 on the road. so we don't have to worry about pull then right/ there won't be any pull in 2wd right?
  25. most people don't suggest D30s with leaf springs but I'm not sure if thats because its so much work for a small axle, or just cause its a bad idea? but you will need an OTK (over the knuckle) steering conversion... check some businesses i know some shops make kits
