  1. you forgot step 5: give old 4x4 AX15 to nick(me) from ga for free. :brows:
  2. were they precision? the ones i bought were from oreilly, and the box was yellow the side we got in right was TIGHT as hell, no amount of ear-tapping helped a bit. it had hardly loosened up with alot of moving, then while installing the other side the cap blew apart :headpop: so idk, but I'm getting a spicer replacement for the one that died.

my brother has winched 3, thats right THREE stuck oversized SUVs out of odd random situations (in a cherokee) one they missed the drive and had the yukon on 24s stuck in a HUGE ditch in the yard off the driveway two someone ran off the road in another oversized blinged out peice and i don't remember three. but he enjoys doing it so much, i think its one of his favorite parts of his jeep :brows:
  4. how do you swing a chrysler small block chevy? or does SBC stand for two different thigns?
  5. yeah its in a catch can
  6. Yeah... Right... Silly 2.5 guys. ballsy, yes. torquey... no. although some better gearing would sit well with my 4.0 BLEGH 3.07s suck, but thats not to say she won't get going anytime and anygear.

if i were to buy a car it'd be a little, fast 5spd. i don't care, preferably an M3 beemer because theyre possibly the coolest coupe's ever. and if not that then a 5-0 which i know doesn't meet the little category. ;)
  8. I do pretty much the same. My original contemporary (sort of) Jeep was the '88 XJ. I ran that on dinosaur juice for the first 175,000 miles of its life and changed the oil and filter every 2500 miles. When I finally changed to synth, my brother (who was at that time a service manager at a BMW dealership) told me the new BMWs were coming from the factory with synth, and a 15,000 mile oil change interval. I figured if they could go 15,000 ... I could go 5000. I don't do the 2500 mile filter swap, though. I just do the oil and filter at 5000 miles. do you think i would run into any issues swapping to synthetic at 140k (miles)?
  9. we usually hang them on the LCAs. but i guess if you're taking that off it doenst work like that huh
  10. yeah, thats ANY state law as far as i'm aware... if you've got a double yellow, you've gotta stay in your lane (aint no rules about the shoulder though :brows: i pull that one every once in a while.)
  11. brake-checking sucks, i hate people that do that. nice truck though!
  12. werent they all red? i've never seen a non-red chief
  13. he said he filed a claim with the guys insurance so he must've stopped or something?
  14. hahahah wow... hearing some of these stories is awesome. 4600!!! only two spots of clean truck... i mean 2 spots of rust. ;)

haha, i can't be mad at anyone wanting to lower their heep... if i didnt wheel much i would stiffen the suspension and stroke it/build it for HP. driving a stick 4.0 3000lb truck is a    i can't imagine driving one lowered maybe 1-2" with 3-400hp, makes me want to buy a 5-0 as a DD
  18. don't know about that speedo but that sounds fishy... if it reads WAY slow it might have alot more miles than that on it. ? right? but 235s definately fit stock. might rub a TINY bit on the control arm at full steering lock, but not bad. mine rub a tiny bit on the sway bar links at full lock to the left but that's the only time. so stick em on! (oh and welcome !! )
  19. You haven't been driving it w/o the stub shaft in have you? Just stuff an old rag in the hole and you shouldn't lose any gear oil. hahaha, no there'd be a much worse post in this thread called... I LOST MY UNIT BEARING ON THE HIGHWAY HELP HELP PLEAASE haha, that would be bad. I'm not so much worried about it being on my jeep or the ground as i am that either way its not in the diff or the disco. anymore  oh well, shouldnt be another 4 days before i fix the joint then ill re-oil it.
  20. hehe, ive got a 97TJ motor with ~140k (miles fer ya stinkin :Canadaflag:'s) and it comes out nice and charred-black every time :chillin:
  21. to ship a 12" and a windhsield banner to me it was 85 cents, thats from pete to GA. so i would say tops 1$ shipping.
  22. so all three of us had the same blasted problem... how classic. hahahaha. we were all waiting to hear this miracle fix... and yeah, :dunce:
