ok, whats the deal. they're in a life boat (with american captain i understand). we're america, navy war ships, navy seals, high power sniper rifles and so on. we've given them food and water....whats the deal, why are we farting around with them navy seals can't sneak up on these idiots and wipe them out like stephen segal??? we gave them food and water-that couldn't have been drugged and everyone on the boat take a nap???? high power sniper can't be floated close enough on one of our ships to take them out??? captain has tried to swim away, once he got away a little ways, we couldn't have lit those suckers up??? i mean we're holding all the cards, what the heck is going on???
  3. you guys are brutal :smart: :clapping:
  4. from what i've heard the 91-95 were as good, i have a casting number in the garage. i know the one i got off a 95 yj was a "desirable" one.
  5. i see a lot of them seep, you clean the oil off at the oil change, and the head gasket is damp/wet at the next one.
  6. what??? i can't hear anything in my jeep
  7. i say do it if you got a little extra money, like someone said, it probably needs valve work anyway. i have ported and polished both heads. the ho head porting is noticeably larger to start off with. if it were me i'd find a 91-96 or so head, and the latest ram style intake, and bored throttle body, there's a hot ticket right der.
  8. is nobody wathcing this? if you were i guarantee you'd be comenting  I watched it, but have nothing good to say, so I abstained. I guess I can say this... That is the "stereotypical" redneck created in the mind of today's society...it is not a true Redneck. Enough with the redneck hijacking of this thread. If someone is interested enough in talking about rednecks...start a new thread. the redneck part is sarcasm....and if you can't laugh at that video, you're too sensitive. :D talking in general, not just at you

  10. this is a redneck. i love this guy, there's three of these http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDDuFhNvmIo
  11. welcome to the insanity. sounds like you made a nice find. can't wait to see the progress.
  12. not positive on mj's, but i don't like them on yj's because they leave and add so much stuff under the axle. a great benefit to soa compared to sua lifts is clearance, when you have bolts and perches hanging off the bottom you didn't gain as much clearance.
  13. WHAT???? i can't hear you :rotf:
  14. If you are talking wheels AND tires .... then you are talking about 90% of the guys on this board
  15. this is absolutely true. i've seen valve cover leaks, and oil filter adapter leaks fool people into thinking its rear main seal.
  16. nice, $175 and a gallon of anti freeze, thats all ya need.
  17. not for me, but i'm suprised. any other jeep forum i've been on that would have gotten you beat down and blasted to no end. i won't go that far, but i don't like seeing jeeps like that, just me though. :rotfl2: anytime the wheels are worth more than the vehicle, you gotta wonder.
  18. i'm not a fan of the new styling, and i agree with what everyone has said. they all look alike. what about this, to the untrained eye how much difference is there between the new grand cherokee, patriot, compass, liberty and comander? they are way to similar, and they wonder why daimler chrysler isn't surviving. and don't even get me started on the first wrangler to offer 2wd :fs1: the j/k "just kidding" wrangler. i just heard some more news about fiat this morning, but only caught the end, whats up there?
  19. in my experience, there's not much to do to wake up that motor. for the money you're gonna spend, its not worth what you gain. imo if it doesn't have 4.10 gears, find gears/axles, and don't waste anymore money on that motor. i've had that motor, and its a work horse, and will last forever, but its never gonna make you happy coming off the line.
  20. great to hear, guess everyone was right huh. great words of encouragement in this thread
  21. bob barker says yes  if stock axles are fine for your use, and you want some better gearing, its a fine deal if you can bring him down to 200, thats the most i'd pay.
  22. loctite, no way in my book. honestly the biggest problem i see when replacing those couplers is they leak at the threads. if i used anything it would be a thread sealer, nothing else. those don't usually have a problem seizing in, they aren't that disimilar of metals, whereas some coupler/aluminum combos will be seized in no time. i'm a mechanic, i replace these on many different cars, and for what its worth to you, thats my input
