i'm fairly nuetral, never worked for a union, and i'm not really big on a lot of union stuff though. but, having his termination reversed is a joke, even if he managed to have labor boards or state whoever reverse the firing, what would his job life be like? not really a viable option.
  2. very similar, except the front has 2 torx screws on the top edge, and no rivet. the rear has one torx on the top edge, and a rivet that the front does not have. otherwise its almost the same process. edit: i was not able to simply unbolt the lower channel that holds the glass up and C#*@ the window and pull it out, like every other normal window...i tried. the side channel and all keep it in place completely, and it just moves straight up and down about 6 inches or so.
  3. i just had this pleasure of removing it, to prep the doors i got from pat for paint. its a pain. remove door panel, there's one small torx on the top of the door jam, then there's a rivet under the trim around the window. remove the trim, drill out the rivet. and there's a channel holding the window up from the bottom. 2 torx botls i think, unbolt the channel and the glass slides down. drill out the rivet and remove the bolt and it will finagle out. the wing glass is also attached to the main window guid channel inside the door. so it looks like a big number 4 with the wing and the channel as the stem, best i can describe so you can see that it all comes out together. enjoy, any questions let me know i just dismantled every peice of both doors.

  5. the dot number will tell you how old they are. technically they are now saying after 6 yrs you cannot be certain of a tires integrity. tires wear so different in different circumstances i wouldn't go by that, but if they are pretty old you are making the right choice. the last 4 numbers of the dot is when it was made, 2 numbers for the week, and 2 for the year...example: 2702 means the tire was made in the 27th week of 2002, somewhere in june off the top of my head.
  6. nice find
  7. i for one know if it was legal i would have tried it earlier, and more frequently, and most likely would have effected the outcome of my life. i've known worked with and employed drug users (weed) every single one of them were lazier, less productive, worse attitude, all around weaker employees

the dealer's are not all the sudden gonna liquidate their parts, they aren't going anywhere, your neighborhood chrysler dealer will still be there...sure some will close, but the company is not going to disappear, they are simply legally skipping out on the bill they owe everyone. so we are not going to see all sorts of great new o.e. parts on ebay.
  9. i did a ton of research, and used a product by a company called sem....the product is rust sheild. i'm very happy with how it worked, good stuff, and cost about half of por cost. just thought i'd share.

i think they've gone too far. gm's spin off parts company delco had union contracts they had to sign, saying 1000 people (fictitious number) will be employed in this plant. times changed and there wasn't enough work to keep them working, half the employees showed up to work and watched tv while recieving full pay...and the unions would not restructure their deal. and this was the case in hundreds of delco plants. other instances had applicants on a waiting list for jobs to open recieving a salary. no other country would do that, and what company can stay afloat with that going on?
  11. ^x2 i've done it a hand full of times in my late teens early 20's. didn't care for it. i've hung around many that were full out addicts, and those that did it enough. i agree with what you said. and i also know from being around it most of my early adulthood nothing good comes of it, useless, and damaging.
  12. no info here, sure its easier, but why take a step backwards. the coil suspension is far superior to leaf springs. any axle can be set up to work with whatever you want. you can make a d44 or any front axle fit your mj. i guess if you're just building a mudder then whatever, but then why not use a k5 blazer or bronco and so on.

it will be just like united air lines. they file, everyone gets screwed except chrysler. anyone that chrysler owes money to gets nothing, at least its not publicly traded. when united air lines bankrupted, all debts were erased, all stock holders lost everything, what stock, you have no stock, you have stock in a non existant company. the stock then re opened under a different symbol at $30/share :ack: :headpop:
  14. ummm....so we have a scum bag drug lord thanking us because he's rich on illegal drugs. how is that our governments deal? we should listen to a drug lord now i guess. he's a scum bag, and to keep him from getting rich we should legalize drugs? no thanks. how about we go knock on his door and take him down, why don't we get the "cajones" to do that instead of his theory??? :wall:
  15. 99.9% sure no xj had factory discos.

    jeep game

did you guys discover how many back flips you can do yet?
  17. ya, at least the xj's somewhat function. waste of good bodies if you ask me. but, that cj has the ground clearance of a skateboard. the springs are either shovels, or anchors....you decide. :hmm:
  18. i know its not an mj, but i gotta do it anyway. the xj from one of my favorite childhood movies goonies i love when they race down the beach. Image Not Found
  19. we've all seen a lot of stupid things, but this is it, dumbest of the dumb. never seen anything like it. 2ft. shackle lift  :fs1: :ack: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-CJ- ... 240%3A1318
  20. i was about to go on a rant about the o.e's in the late 4.0 was platinum, but i'm gonna agree w/ everyone else, i got screwed up by an idiot dealer parts guy though, toldme they were platinum, but when they arrived they were regular ngk
  21. so you have it installed and you have gauges not working or what?
  22. stick with the o.e plugs. if its a late 4.0 w/ direct ignition (coil on plug) they are ngk platinum. earlier 4.0's like regular ole champion.
  23. x2 and they don't filter very well either.
  24. yj tuffy center console, sweet find.
