In my opinion either buy a Stihl if its in the budget if not just buy a Polan. The stihls are the smoothest, least fatigue, most reliable saw made but there pricey. The polans are great for the money if it breaks in a few years toss it out and buy another. I think anything new will have chain brakes and anti kick back chain on it. My dad cuts about 5 cords a year with a 250 stihl hes in his early 70`s thats about the smallest I would recomend. If he can take a little more weight and you want a 18" bar a 290 should fit well if you go much bigger its going to get $$$. I have my eye on a old 028 at a auction in a few weeks in town.

Its been a while since I bought mine I am thinking it was the $115.00 one there may have not been a cheaper one at the time. I really would bet there all the same but if unsure I would go for the middle one. Good luck and sorry i can't help much with info on replacing it as all the ones I did were on the hoist when the engine was out the others I paid a friend to do.

I have bought them from advance around $200.00 and from ebay around $100.00. There the same exact thing so go for the ebay one just pick a seller with a good feedback and check several sellers the price on ebay can vary quite a bit.

Welcome to the world of Paypal and ebay. I sell on ebay for part of my living I have tried other places and none have the traffic ebay does I am said to say. They started this new holding crap on new sellers a while ago. Also do be careful as there alot of fake emails from paypal and ebay that try to get you to click on a link and enter your password and user ID(and they do look real). Do this and you get a BIG screwing they will hack into your account. I have to sell on ebay and I did quit for a while had TONS of problems also. I had to face that for me there`s a certain amount of transactions I will loose every year. Oh I had some charge backs fought them and did win somehow.

The store where my wife manages had a old locking (round key) display they trashed, nice to put my dads lionel trains in I thought. Its was keyed the same as others in the store and I could not get a key with it. Could borrow my wifes for a few hours but no one would cut it I had to either bring the display in or buy a whole new lock set. Not sure what you have but theres tons of keys on flea bay also some who will cut round keys if you have the code. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid ... Categories

I think they look really good and I think he is a member on here. Used to be able to tell them you are a club member and get 10% off.

I went down to Tonys house a few days ago to get the Motor and stuff. The more I look at it I do not think it was rebuilt but it has everything on it even some new stuff. He did sell me all the rusty`s lift parts that are basicly new and threw in a set of tails, front shaft, starter, cluster. The lift parts are 4.5 inch way to much for me so they will be sold I am keeping the AAL and rear spring sets I think, they have greasable shackles also on them. He had some money in this stuff that`s for sure he took a huge loss. Also he still had the tarp and rails the rails were really beat up from the roll over but I got it fixed up and looks great it was black not grey. The tarp and tails were almost worth what I paid for it all.

Dallas fort worth ??????

Sounds good to me at that price I would jump on it. The axles worth a couple hundred and the rest should part out at what you have in it easily. I may be interested in the hitch if you get it. :brows:

Thanks guys I want to do this on the 96 of the wifes so when she comes home at night she can see down the drive way. I plan on installing a underground wire and light to my fence someday but this would be way easier.

I had a 88 XJ waggy years that had headlights that would stay on for a couple mins after they were turned off great feature. Whats involved it upgrading this to a xj that did not have them?

I was told of a transport plate or certificate when I was looking to bring one from NY To PA. The title would be done with his info the transport plate gets you home where you finish the title. Talk to a full service notary in OH and ask them they know way more than the any DMV.

Yes, you could use them as long as there the same type as the bench ones there are two types I think. The bench seat ones will fall down and the bucket ones stand up and are at easy reach. And yes this is a pain when you go around a turn and see the police road spot check.
