87 2.5 engine wants to die when warmed up
sinkrun replied to wranglercory's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Not sure if this is a high jack sorry if it is. I was watching this thread as my 4.0 was doing the same thing. I unhooked the EGR plugged the line and it runs and idles great now! My question is will it hurt to let it plugged also if I get a new one should I get the one that comes with the round black plastic disk thing? -
My guy who does the work I can't is replacing the AC Condenser. First thing is the auto sites are listing two one is "with extension tube" and without. Can anyone tell us what to look for since I am ordering online and want to get it right its not out yet but I can remove the grill and look in. There some pics on the ebay auctions but I don`t trust it to be of the actual part. There $125.00 at advance on ebay I found USA one for around $75.00 with shipping. I am thinking there is no difference in the two as far as quality?????

If it does and I think your right it is from the complants thats pretty sad. Would he rather a buyer of the bumper try pulling something and loose his trailer and kill some one over being to thick headed to stand behind it and make the part RIGHT. I am sure he could find the right steel or just do not make it with the hitch tube and keep his bussiness? Theres a huge liability with that type of item and the manufacturer has a responsibility to make things right and stand behind them. If a honest complant about a UNSAFE item made him drop all the MJ stuff then I would say its no loss. Surely a local fab shop could make a set of sliders. Get some one who has a set to get some good pictures and dimensions and go and visit them do not just call and take the truck. There are a couple in my area if you do not have any luck local send me some pics and measurements and I will check around.

Had the same problem on my 89 found a replacement end it was dorman I think at Fishers auto. You do have to cut the crimped one off the rubber line I used 2 clamps just for that little extra insurance never had any issues with leaks again. -
Pete we just misssed the cut off got a pile of hot rods from 1970-1984. I do have other dealers looking also so maybe soon.

Tell them to identify which chips are from there tree and pick them out. I believe the tree belongs to the tree company and if there is a problem to take it up with them. And if he keeps if up I would tell them to go _____ themselves but I am quite a hothead and the older I get the worse it gets. I agree most people are real A holes anymore and I don't have time for them. I have had my house 6 years now and only know I neighbors name.

How hard is it to replace the spring strut assembly on a ford taurus for some one who has never done this?? I have been searching the web and havent found much other than removing the strut from coil. We are going to buy the quick strut assembly since the spring is broke. I have a fair amount of mech knowledge but I know this can be tricky and can get you hurt.

Trying to find what all may interchange with this, 91 4x4 brake shields need them for dads rusted up dodge. Also if anyone knows where to find a solid set that would be great.
-
Did not take it apart yet, I am sure bushings are needed the wipers are going down past the window about 2". I will rebush it first and check the wires for corrosion as the motors are not cheap and the yards around here want darn near new prices.
-
Does anyone know what years will interchange with my 89MJ? The wipers on my xj`s are much faster and smoother than the MJ and I need to do the bushings and was thinking I should either do a upgrade or just buy a new motor also.

There was a post a week or so back about Advance Auto having a universal hitch for around 130.00 that fits great without any hole drilling.
