  1. I pulled a VW Westfalia camper from Knoxville TN to Winsted CT with a 98 XJ with an AX15. VW plus dolly came in at a little over 5,000lbs. I didn’t know how much one weighed before I got Shanghai’d into the job. The XJ had 240k on it when I did that pull and now it has 457k on that same clutch. 243k total on the clutch. Luk gold clutch. With new master/slave at time of clutch change. I would not feel comfortable pulling that kind of weight with an auto.
  2. I have a 2000 2.5 5 speed 4wd XJ that I daily drive. I’m running 225/70/15’s on it and it’ll do 70 on the highway but it doesn’t get much better mileage than my 98 and 99 4.0 auto cherokee’s when run that hard. If I stay on secondary roads and keep it under 55 it’ll get better mileage. I like it because it handles better and feels more balanced weight wise than the 4.0’s.
  3. Probably has to drive it standing on the fuel tank because he can’t see around the blowers.
  4. That’s all I’ll run now. Clean wheels and awesome braking. Not worth trying to save money on pads when the results are so much better.
  5. I use autozone ceramic max pads in the red box with the duralast gold rotors. My wife got 60k out of the rotors on her XJ and there was still half the pad left. They stop with authority! They replaced the pads and rotors under warranty because of the wear on the rotors. She was traveling 30k a year on it so it was within the 3 year warranty period.
  6. Sold a camper this past weekend, had one guy offer me $800 and another $1,000. I was asking $1,500. I told them to meet me at the camper at 10:00. I got another message Saturday morning asking to see the camper and I said I was showing it to a couple other people at 10:00. The couple that messaged me in the morning showed up at 10:00 and we opened it up and they liked it. Offered me $1,300 and I said sure. They paid me and then the two other people showed up at 10:30. I messaged them it was sold but they were almost there. They both drove 30-40 miles to see it. They weren’t happy but they didn’t want to pay my ask either so why should I hold it. Besides the other two may have backed out and I wanted it gone.
  7. Love the Eldo, ditch the vinyl roof though.
  8. John Deere 140 nope
  9. I have been running the Motorcraft FL-1 size filter on mine because of the larger capacity over stock but this brings it to a whole new level.
  10. Garden Tractor, John Deere 300 series?
  11. When I picked up my 92 2wd it had 205/75/15’s on it. (2011) It would go really fast with the 3.07 gears. A lot faster than it would go with 225’s or 235’s. With 205’s I got the speedo all the way around to the zero pin. Once. That was enough.
  12. Chrysler retired the tooling and shipped it to China.
  13. That is sweet. I haven’t seen a 84-86 that clean in at least 20 years. It’s starting to get hard finding clean rustfree 97-01’s around my area.
  14. Yeah, but the 84-86’s V6’s scream for that swap. I’d like to see pics of that 85.
  15. Seeing how the 85 has a chevy engine in it already swap a vortec 4.8 or 5.3 into it.
  16. etrailer.com should have plug and play harnesses for the KJ. I know they still do for the XJ.
  17. Stock gearing for wranglers with 30” (29.5”) tires was 3.73’s. If you’re not going over that size of a tire it would work fine.
  18. What do you plan on towing? Also gearing will help make the 4.0 pull well. Especially if your truck is a standard. I had 4.10’s in my stick XJ with 31’s and 32’s and it had plenty of power. Stock sized tires a set of 3.73’s would be a good choice.
  19. Note the never buy Fram sign in front of the truck.
  20. Here are some flying Comanches.
  21. The widths are messed up too. The widths had to be all the same from 84-96. The flares or mirrors didn’t change. 2.8 inches is a big difference.
  22. My 92 Laredo had them too. My 95 Country came with a pressure treated 2x6. Lol
  23. 2wd brakes didn’t change until 1/20/92.
  24. Put two stock electric fans in it.
  25. $160 for a fire pit with all the features that you show in the set of pictures you have posted plus shipping. Correct?
