What are these wheels called?
glundblad replied to 86custom's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Turbines by far where the best but I must confess. I don't recall of a barf checkbox when I bought my Jeep but there may have been. If there was one, I would have checked it. I'm too old to remember for sure. -
I had mine made at a local sign painter. They are made from vinyl and look exactly like the originals.

i can agree with you on the NOS thing. i was that way when i was into kramer guitars. however half a grand for tail lights is a bit much. like you said though if they want it bad enough who cares the price. i still think its pretty ridiculous though even for NOS lights. then again my MJ is a trail rig not a beauty queen. oh and i can afford it if i wanted to, so my negative comment sticks  Your comment sticks? Give me a break. And jello nails to a wall too right? We are talking about an auction on new parts for a limited production truck. There won't be too many remaining oportunities. I didnt buy the lights because I already had a NOS set but you can bet if I needed them, I would have bought them myself. I wouldnt have cared how much they cost. I can't understand how anyone can make a broad statement on the value of something. People on this forum will spend thousands on hacking their trucks. I wouldnt spend $20 to do that. On the other hand, I spent quite a bit to restore mine. Many people wouldnt have done that either. Does that make me "Stupid"? The value of anything is measured by what someone is willing to pay for it. I spent $130 on a NOS cargo light and switch that I will never install..but just in case.

Heck no. Life is too short for details like that. :clapping:

If these work, please let me know. I suspect these are cherokee only.

I have heard where simply swapping out the injectors can make a world of difference. Did you give that a try?

Transmission x-member woes
glundblad replied to jeepcoma's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I need to replace mine too. I am so not looking forward to this. I realize pbBlaster is your friend but there are a couple of bolts on the cross member that go up into the frame so there is no way to spray them. I hate the thought of starting this little project. :ack: -
BA-10 Fill plug stuck
glundblad replied to comanche1989's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I bought a piece of steel (tork key of some kind) at the local hardware store in the nuts & bolts section. It fit very snug and fit perfectly. I sprayed it with bpblaster for a few days and it came right off. Long live the BA10  -
Site getting hacked? Who would be so gullible? :rotf:

I agree. I have yet to see rocking horse poop in good condition. -
It is sad when the best thing our government can do for our country is to not show up for work. Solve the debt issue and leave everything else alone. Right?

Why would you want one of those big brutes? I don't understand it. Why don't I give you my address and you can just drop that old thing off? :brows:

I have them on my MJ too. I plan to put them on my tahoe when needed. I was not too happy with them originally. I was getting steering wheel shake at 40mph. The mechanic said it was the tires and they wouldnt balance correctly. I didnt realize he was a dufus at the time so I believed him. A former coworker of mine put them on a full size ram. I thought he said he got almost 60k out of them. Regardless, he replaced them with another set. I've been very happy with them on the MJ.

Bought new tires for my MJ......
glundblad replied to rocketwheels's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I run 235/75/15's and didnt think I had any problems until I was on a slightly unlevel surface in a parking lot last year. Then it rubbed a little in front. It was the first and last time it happened and that took 2 years to happen. I did some light 4wheeling with no rub at all. In fact, I forgot about it until I read this post. Here are some photos of 235/75/15s all around. It had 225's on it when new. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21903 I have no plans to do anything about it. That is how big of a problem it is. -
Why? Is there an MJ in that movie too? Oh yea. I see it now.

Bed cover... with a roll bar?
glundblad replied to GirsMJ86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Here is a link to the COTHM photos. There are several shots that show the seams. I must confess it made me a little nervious when they started cutting. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=21903 -
Bed cover... with a roll bar?
glundblad replied to GirsMJ86's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have a tonneu cover with a factory roll bar. I had the cover cut by a canvas company and they added additional snaps. I thought it turned out pretty good. -
They were plastic and from what I can tell, they were white similar to mine. I may be wrong but I am basing it on a line drawing I have seen on an accessories catalog. The last example cover you show is for the ROL lights. If they fit the Marchals, it would be pure luck. I believe they have NOS 750 covers on ebay every so often.

Didnt you have a white comanche chief? TELL ME that wasnt one of them? :???:

Exactly, I'll look past the color for the condition and right 4wd is easy compared to finding the MJ. I wouldnt look past the red. I think the the color is fantastic.
