well cleaned out the MJ and packed it to hit the woods again and do a little fishing. figured id wait a bit to let this brief cold spell go through. And today its snowing. I'm ready for summer time with the warm nights. soon very soon.
push rods should be touching and yes not returning like others.
do that cold test though per tests. I'm listening again and feel its a lifter for sure if not 2. thinking 4 and 6 are weak.
have you verified power to the fuel pump? have a ballast resistor on the fender? have you changed the fuel filter? do you get fuel at the rail? do your hear the fuel pump turn on?
i picked up a shift fork off ebay for 94 xj for like $20. then got flywheel clutch kit from rockauto for 94 cherokee. then also needed slave to master line yet at auto parts store for $80.
or go to novak as they have the components as well.
not typically no. little thicker and seen junk flywheels from starters and only heard 2 times of flywheel issues at crank due to bolts not tightened down.
but i understood your terminologies and further more still suggest inspection cover pulling for a peek and checking lifters fully. but hey your world boss do the work.
true, but whos to say not if havent even pulled inspection cover to take a peak. makes sense per loading principals. I would be more inclined to assume lifter with the history, however can't hurt to check either way.
gotta cap those shafts, loose to much oil your shafts will be empty and dry out and shatter. quick get some blinker fluid should hold you over I reckon.
i know, just telling you not to be dumb like me and weld crossmember, my opinion
however with regards to stiffeners, front be good for sure. mid and rear if you can surly, but not a weak point like xj. they beefed up the mj for truck work.
