  1. send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
  2. aftermarket add-ons. they mount with little metal clips, but after almost losing them a couple times, I just siliconed them directly to the headlight.
  3. tried the starter fluid yet? carb cleaner works too. heck, wd 40 might even work, but I recommend using something that evaporates cleanly and quickly.
  4. soapy water for a vacuum leak? :hmm: I've always used that for air escaping out (like a tire leak), not air going in. use a flammable substance like starter fluid or propane (unlit of course). when the vacuum sucks in it the leak, the engine rpms will change and alert you to the problem area.
  5. yeah, you could pretty much order an MJ anyway you wanted. My 86 is a base model, but with 4wd, the v6, metric ton, and A/C.
  6. I've grown to like facebook, mostly due to the aforementioned handyness. It's a great way to communicate with friends and family scattered across the country. Instead of sending out 50 emails, we can all simply post it. When someone local is having a bonfire, the whole group of us can communicate together to arrange who's bringing what, change the time, etc. rather than a bazillion text messages being thrown back and forth. Instead of opening an email from my family in georgia, then uploading 6 photos of my nephew, then opening them up in a viewing program, I can simply click and scroll. easy-cheezy. :D Facebook is what you make of it. if you don't like people finding your name and hitting you up, simply block their access. If you don't like a certain individual's constant political rantings, you can block them from the news feed. If you don't like emails, block them too. if you don't like the games, don't play them (also you can block them). If you don't want a future employer knowing what you look like drunk in a pink tu-tu, don't post that particular photo. :rotf: If anyone is rejecting it because they don't understand it, or they simply reject new things because they are popular, then I'm not sure I can help with that. :dunno:
  7. I love mine. It's a great little 'puter. :typing: update: my 2gig card is on its way. :D
  8. you can probably find some through car-part.com (a junkyard search engine)
  9. 30" bfgs on aluminum Jeep rims under a 2wd with stock arms. never had any rubbing. mods needed to the WJ arms. you can trim it any way you want, just make sure the rubber doesn't get too hot.
  10. http://comancheclub.com/topic/34030-want-to-own-an-scca-comanche/page__st__100#entry361092
  11. no picture of the truck?
  12. there's new info on the street MJ history in the thread about the archer brothers. I'll see if I can find it.
  13. how exactly would this all work? got a link to a forum using it?
  14. long term loads can adversely affect the leafs too. In fact, they could be worse depending on the circumstances. I had an engine block in the back of my metric ton for about a year, wasn't even at the back of the bed. the leaf packs will never be the same. :( Years before I had carried plenty of loads that put the bed on the bumpstops without affecting anything in a perceivable way.
  15. as a general rule of thumb, no.
  16. oh, and I have a 1gig card currently. looking to get a 2 giger. :D
  17. FOUND IT! it was indeed under the battery. I have a 1018P apparently. originally I was going to ask Asus, but the query form asked for my model and serial number :rotf: and even their site says I should have a sticker on the bottom of my netbook. damn chinese can't even put a sticker in the right spot. :fs1:
  18. The computer page and the screen bezel say the model is a Eee PC, except that info doesn't get me any closer to finding a RAM card (they want a number like G60, x101h, 1215T, etc). :( I wonder if there's anything under the battery... part of me thinks that all the memory cards are the same and that this is all pointless, but I'd rather not spend money on an uneducated guess.
  19. my computer is a 2 year old Asus Eee PC with an Atom N455 processor. Was looking at getting some more RAM but it would appear I need to know which specific model I have. The guy at the online computer store said I should have a sticker on the bottom of my computer that has that info, but the only one I see tells about the microsoft aspect (windows 7) rather than the Asus parts. :dunno: ideas?
  20. I found a 2-fer! :rotf: oh, the random crap you can find on the internet...
  21. yes, that one is a much better candidate. make sure the parts you need work before plunking down money.
  22. the driveshaft from a 4.0/stick with the same bed length will be 1" longer. this may or may not be helpful depending on if you can find one. :(
