I wish my reloding bench looked that nice and organized

i live in castle dale 3-4 hours away i have a little 2.5 4 banger 2wd but i am working on selling my 2.5 and buying a cheaper 4.0 4 wd that i hope to build this next school year so i have a shop to do it in with all the tools i could need and the money from working all summer to afford a lift and tires. the comanche is on ksl for 700$ but the guy says he needs to get ride of it and if i give him a offer he will most likely take it. he says there is something wrong with a hydraulic line going to the clutch do you know what could be wrong with it he says i could be just poped of or the line could be bad have you ever heard of something like that? and do you know of any one up there that is selling a comanche with a 4 liter and 4wd?i would be willing to pay up to 1200 to 1300 maybe more if it already has work done to it? this is the truck its ruff but cheap http://www.ksl.com/auto/listing/613027?ad_cid=3 Thanks, Hunter

i was thinking doing the 4x4 conversion at the same time as the 2.5 to 4.0 just buy a hole xj for it.

just curious what engine do you have in your comanche? is it still a 2.5 or bigger? figured it would have very little power for being lifted so high.

So the for 87 you wouldn't have to change the fire wall to put the 4.0 in on a 4 cyl? What about the engine mounts how much would they need to be changed? could you just yank the motor and motor mount from a xj an put it in? Thanks, hunter

ya i already have some one that can cut and weld the drive line. and i wish i could turn around a sell my 2x4 but all the 4x4 comanches are going for twice as much as mine would sell for.

what about my transmission i have right now couldn't i just bolt on a trans case? or do they make the ax 4 so you can't? thanks.

I have a question i have a little 2.5 in mine and i have a friend that has a cheeroke that i could buy dirt cheap off him because he just wants to get rid of it but its a 2.8 v6 would the stuff from this work to make my comanche a 4x4 intell i can upgrade to the inline six and better gears and other stuff? i have a question i am planing doing a 4x2 to a 4x4 and i was talking to a guy and he said he had a automatic tranmission with a transcase (that i could have for free) i was wondering if that will bolt up on my little 2.5 4 cly or if i would have to have a inline 6 to work? Thanks.
