I installed a wrangler trans and love the bit of extra ground clearance that the clocking gives. I didn't have to modify the sheepmetal at all, though I did cut off a useless aluminum tab on the t-case just to be sure it didn't touch while offroading.
excellent!
everyone don't forget to show kansashogan's 1988 Pioneer some love too, as he kinda got gypped out of time during in the software switch last month.
turn the radio louder?
running out of ideas here you're driving a 80s era brick at highway speeds. it'll never match even the cheapest modern car in decibels.
I don't understand the problem. are you looking for better mpgs? I mean, it's a perfectly normal combo. TJ Rubicons had it. 2.5L Jeeps had 4.10s and, what, 28"ers? Hell, my Dakota R/T has 3.92 and 28" tires and a giant v8!
all depends on your commute I guess. if I was staring at a couple hours a day on the highway I wouldn't take my 30 year old truck (though I did do 3 hrs daily back when she was only 12). she's too special to me to do the daily roll of the dice that someone is going to ruin her because they were too into their phone. in my opinion long commutes are for expendable rides.
how is it that there isn't an MJ no-start flow chart yet? it just seems logical to me that this would exist, even if it was just the more basic things. I say we should put one together.
and yes, thanks to facebook my brain may have actually snapped from one too many "my truck doesn't start, what's wrong with it" posts.
those of us that live in the rust belt know what it's like to blow out brakelines I haven't lost the front line in an MJ yet though, just a rear. lost a front in my dakota though. a buddy of mine lost a front in his ranger twice in one winter. (note to everyone: if you lose one, chances are the other is close behind so replace them together)
you don't necessarily need to drop the tank to pull the pump. access is on the side. I guess it's also possible that the sock is getting clogged from something in the tank.
