  1. So i bought a comanche thats been sitting around for the past two years, really not driven even a 100 miles a year and sm wondering what maintenance and issue checking i should do. Obviously the floorboards, belt, the oil and fluids. Battery was replaced in 15. Would there be any chance hoses and such would have dry rotted? It starts and runs alright.
  2. here's a pic from the seller
  3. Pictures will maybe come tomorrow. I gotta do the paperwork on it yet. My plans for it are a partial restore, basically paint, cleaning the engine, replacing what needs replaced, etc. More distant future I'll prolly do a few cosmetic, lift, lights, tires. Right now I'm trying to figure out what I'm working with. The driver side floorboard was redone, but I'll tear the carpet up and replace it anyway. The previous owner said its got an iron block, or somesuch, and try as i might i can't find much about it. Was that the renix?
  4. I should mention that its all original, just some touchup paint for surface rust. Tips on how/where to find parts would be great
  5. Hey yall, been a lurker here for about a year and finaly got myself an mj. For all i could find, i really don't know that much a bout these trucks. Input on things you guys think i should look at would be much appreciated. So, about my mj... its a one owner all stock 87 pioneer. Its got an auto, 4.0 inline 6, 4wd. Owned by an older gentleman who did his own oil changes every 2000 miles and ziebart rust protection. Its been sitting outside in the PA weather for the past 2 years, but everything runs. 187000 miles. Probly sand it down and repaint and likley replace a lot of the rubber parts(dry rotted from sitting 2 years). Anything else i should look at? Also info on what exactly ive gotten?
