I just plugged a little bluetooth dongle into that aux port. easy-peasy. no cords outside the dash. well, except for the power cord I added to power my phone.

completely gapped and didn't upload the racing posters. added to the first post.

ok, I'll grab some photos of what I've got in the morning.

was going to skip on buying the poster until I saw it came with an envelope and letter I've never seen before. and this arrived too. always figured there were other little posters than just the Archer Bros one (after all, Jeep usually had 3 trucks running in each race), but never saw one 'til now. came with a poorly zeroxed timesheet too. next year I think I'll work on doing reprints of the little posters so more guys can have them.

this particular one is broken, but this is what you're looking for. same shape, same band, same button layout, and cross your fingers that the guts interchange (my gold one is actually slightly different than my silver one inside). don't buy one for parts unless it works or you might just the have 2 non functional watches. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385385079327

probably because it's using Jtrucks and cherokees rather than actual MJs.

gotta find a 1980s watch on ebay that looks the same but with a different image. it was a very popular cheap watch. I did it like 10 years ago so I don't remember any of the details.

does it need to function? I'm willing to let another go, but it's unresponsive to a new battery. they were very cheap watches back in the day and are not sealed against moisture. the one I sold works only because I bought another old working watch and swapped out the guts.

have you cleaned up the rear ground behind the driver side taillight? that's where the pump grounds and is notorious for causing issues when corrosion creeps in. you should accomplish all of Cruiser54's MJ tips. most are wiring related and cover the known flaws. should be one of the first links in the link in my signature.

are they "dual illumination" bulbs?

damn, dude. it's good to "hear" your voice. make sure to stay positive and keep hope alive. crazy advances in surgeries and spinal fixes have been happening lately. light years ahead of just 10 years ago.

I do wonder if 80s GM trucks would work. those have got to be easier to find.

so after watching a couple videos on the upcoming lawsuits, I'm starting to wonder who's trucks are in the database of images they pulled from?

not out of the main harness. only need pos and neg and the fog light harness would have the split in it. I am just guessing though, but not much else that would be in that spot. I can check the trucks in the morning if no one chimes in sooner.

the rocker bases will bump you up a bit higher over stock MJ bucket assemblies.
