that would be a weird if I was able to call them out on a "leather wrapped steering wheel" not actually having leather in it.

so I've got a plethora of allergies and chemical sensitivities (there's literally only one brand of undershirts I can wear comfortably) and one of them happens to be, of all things. chrysler steering wheels. they give my skin a weird "burning" sensation when I touch them. It's similar to my skin touching carpe, but that's a plastic, not a leather. It's honestly hard to explain since I haven't yet found a good comparison for people who don't have such a sensitivity. I first noticed this with my parents' 2016 durango R/T, but also have since sat in a 300 and a JL and they have the same effect. I was wondering if anyone had access to anything that might tell me what type of leather they use on the wheels. It could easily be the black dye too, but the thought just occurred to me that it may not be cow leather.

I've done it in twice before to visit Jim, but this time I'm trying to make more stops to meet more people (and break up the drive a bit). and this time I'll have cruise control and no howling bearings or rusty driveshafts that vibrate when over 65mph! (no I haven't yet fixed the Liberty, I'm borrowing my folk's Durango R/T while they are on their trip overseas )

depends entirely on the model you buy. but you can certainly use the seatbelt bolts for the other 2 seats and then attach something through the rear wall.

well that's certainly close enough to add to the map on a side note, google is starting to make this difficult as they have a cap on teh number of locations I can add.

I'm actually hoping to hit up you, Will or Ron, but that particular leg of the trip starts to get cramped as I need to be in Michigan for maybe a week.

I'll update the map and schedule as I figure things out. so this is my tentative schedule. My goals are to see as many members as I can, stay in CO long enough to get some work done for Katie (Jim Oshell's widow), then head to Michigan to see my family, and then head back towards GA. so far we have a meetup in Wisconsin (has its own thread in the Pub) and I'd love to have a huge CC presence to show up at Katie's on Sept 6th or 7th to help with a couple of big projects she can't handle on her own. It's a complicated plan (as per usually for me ), but should be a blast if I can iron out the details.

there are a lot of variables in play here (backspacing, fender cutting, bump-stopping, etc), but given the right circumstances: yes, it is possible.

I was waiting for it to get a little further along but man that paint certainly qualifies on its own!

there's one in Epic Tech honestly though, it's infinitely easier to simply install a child seat in the MJ or buy another Jeep for those times you need the seats.

yup, it's super easy. caster is the relative angle of the ball joints to vertical, and the tops/bottoms of the Cs (or balljoints) are essentially perpendicular to the balljoint line.
